A day at School (Short Story) - 9/12/2017 5:11:54 AM
That was extraordinary day that you can now pass on to your children as a remembrance of the way schooling was in your day. I can't imagine a single student having so much responsibility at such a young age. I had "stage fright in school." Although I was okay in choral groups and other activities, I was frightened of speaking or singing alone in front of others for fear of not doing well. It wasn't until I took two college speaking courses that I overcame my fear of speaking to groups. Ron

The Boss is The Class (Article) - 10/9/2017 5:56:38 AM
It's interesting how you end your discussion with money. The longer I live the more I realize that it isn't money that makes us successful. It is success that can be defined many more ways than simply how much one has made or gathered in wealth. In my early years I had several bosses, some who were not paid very well but were very good leaders and mentors to both emulate and learn from. They propelled me to high office because I always complimented their work and supported them to the hilt. I'm not sure about India, but in the 1980s in the United States under the leadership of Ronald Reagan, the emphasis shifted from accomplishment (the great innovations of the 20th century) to moneymaking and Machiavelli became required reading. Accountants took over from engineers with the big 8 accounting firms taking over industrial consulting changing it from being innovation based to profit-making based. I began to get bosses who are only interested in the bottom line and how much they could use/abuse employees to line their pockets. My upward movement stopped, leveled off, and then, declined. But I persevered to retirement. Meanwhile, several of those bosses, like cocaine addicts, feverishly built empires without my assistance, and quickly crashed and burned. They taught their employees nothing but what not to do. So, if you say that we should always talk nice about our bosses, then I would say that you are advocating that we all become "yes-men/women. The kind of coworker I despise. Ron

The Fabulous Japan (Article) - 8/11/2016 7:43:28 AM
You are indeed fortunate to be able to travel many places. And, I assume you were the Japanese in English. That makes travel for those of us from the United States very easy because most places in the world have bilingual citizens who speak both their language and English very well. Unlike you, I find that tourists that "read up on a country" prior to going there may miss out on the mystery. But, you seem to have, like me rely more on the people and serendipity see the things that the local people want you to see and not something that a formal tour would take you so as to "protect you" from local dangers to your religion, politics, or pocketbook while they fleece you. ;-) You make Japan seem like a wonderful place to visit. Ron

Heart does not heal (Poetry) - 9/26/2018 7:07:46 PM
A great poem. I've always like your sad poetry better than the happy ones. But that's me.

Heart does not heal (Poetry) - 9/24/2018 10:49:39 PM
A most vivid (and emotional) poem, beautifully executed.

Umaiza (Poetry) - 8/26/2018 1:58:34 AM
Thank you everyone for the love and support. Rana

Cure (Poetry) - 8/3/2018 11:34:53 AM
Great poem. I can feel the emotion and pain.

Cure (Poetry) - 8/1/2018 7:52:52 AM
While this is written as a love poem, all of the pain and misery expressed leads me to believe that there is something very wrong with this relationship. A love should be kind and sharing, wonderful. The reason for loving is to be happy. This poem is filled with angst and anxiety that tells me that one or both parties in it are not really loving. Ron

Cure (Poetry) - 7/31/2018 12:34:45 PM
One feels the pain in the poem and awaits the cure.

On her birthday ...! (Poetry) - 7/22/2018 4:51:31 PM
A cold demon she is. This is the opposite of your usual poems about love. I like the darker side.

On her birthday ...! (Poetry) - 7/22/2018 12:06:40 PM
Some wounds never really heal. I feel your poem, Rana.

On her birthday ...! (Poetry) - 7/16/2018 6:28:29 AM
A melancholy tale that doesn't seem to let go. Nicely rendered; one feels the pain, one that we have all suffered at one time or another.

Love Me (Poetry) - 7/15/2018 9:53:54 PM
Sweet, very sweet -ZACH

Love Me (Poetry) - 7/4/2018 1:48:49 PM
A beautiful request for love and support. I believe he's asking for her to diffuse his aggression by her softness. As a way to calm him.

Love Me (Poetry) - 7/4/2018 9:38:18 AM
Your poem would be beautiful except for the intonation that you are somehow "in charge" by aggression. Not good. Ron

The nacreous heart (Poetry) - 6/26/2018 11:56:45 PM
I had to look up nacreous. It means iridescent, opalescent. So, you have a pure heart that's opalescent and lonely. And I'm lost. I tried.

The nacreous heart (Poetry) - 6/24/2018 4:53:29 PM
I like this! m

The nacreous heart (Poetry) - 6/20/2018 7:48:43 PM
Loneliness is a state of mind, some people feel that even in the company of a crowd of people. The richest person in life is one who holds a dream. When you have dreams you have love. Sandie

Fireball (Poetry) - 6/13/2018 2:39:00 PM
My kind of poetry. Raw feelings. Short. Quick. Raw emotion coming from the magic of the poet.

Fireball (Poetry) - 6/12/2018 1:38:42 PM

Rolling Stones (Poetry) - 6/8/2018 6:43:49 PM
I feel the pain, sadness and can visualize "tears as rolling stone" flowing down your cheeks, as if I were sitting across from you, and that doesn't happen too often. This is a very good, deep and dark write. Cheers, Dan

Rolling Stones (Poetry) - 6/3/2018 5:11:25 PM
It might be only me, but I enjoy your sad and woeful poetry more than your happy in love ones. Maybe because my emotions veer toward sadness and loss.

Rolling Stones (Poetry) - 6/2/2018 11:30:30 PM
I see layered depths in the well of this poem, of love and pain and shattered emotion that end in the rolling stones of tears. Nicely done.

Bundle of Beauty (Poetry) - 6/2/2018 12:32:37 PM
You write passionately about this imaginary girlfriend. To my surprise, I never quite met my ideal, but the one I settled for is much better. Ron

The reader feels what the poet feels because you intertwine the emotions with the images of nature.

Tears (Poetry) - 4/25/2018 9:55:59 AM
I'm happy to see a sad poem. After your passionate ones, I knew there had to be some tears shed.

Tears (Poetry) - 4/23/2018 11:21:48 AM
Ronald , there are only the strong sentiments thanks for recognizing . And thank you John for the honest reviews always Cheers Rana M

Tears (Poetry) - 4/23/2018 7:06:20 AM
Some strong sentiments expressed. The forced rhyming makes some of these couplets less meaningful

Tears (Poetry) - 4/22/2018 8:42:00 PM
the rhythms and rhymes tight and powerful to match the sentiment.

Nothing But Everything (Poetry) - 4/22/2018 4:41:02 PM
I like the phrase, "you are nothing but everything." Being someone's everything is nice.

Nothing But Everything (Poetry) - 4/22/2018 7:21:01 AM
Opposites attract. In this case it looks like you get both in one package. Ron

Nothing But Everything (Poetry) - 4/22/2018 5:59:37 AM
She'll have no trouble understanding what she means to you. Great rhyming poetry.

Nothing But Everything (Poetry) - 4/22/2018 1:43:58 AM

Burning Hearts (Poetry) - 4/9/2018 9:45:45 AM
Thank you all for encouraging ! Cheers Rana

Inscape (Poetry) - 4/9/2018 9:44:26 AM
Thank you John for the honest words. Ronald you always have to say something negative but it is perfectly allright. Dame = the official title of a female member of the Order of the British Empire, equivalent to that of a knight. A woman with authority. And you don’t love an ordinary girl, don’t you? Cheers Rana

Inscape (Poetry) - 4/9/2018 8:39:34 AM
Certainly filled with expressions of love. But I'm not sure calling a woman a dame will get you into her heart. Ron

Inscape (Poetry) - 4/9/2018 6:03:30 AM
Clearly you very often "speak the language of love" and clearly, from your poems, you are a "lover by nature". Perhaps that is why you endeavor to express your feelings of love in as many ways possible.

The Purple Kiss (Poetry) - 4/8/2018 2:22:50 AM
filled with longing, well said Never Stop Writing! m

The Purple Kiss (Poetry) - 4/6/2018 10:29:21 PM
Fervid and passionate, emotion explored in the passion of a poem, beginning with the opening lines: "Sunshine sunning through golden gates."

Burning Hearts (Poetry) - 3/24/2018 7:58:22 PM
She must also have passion in her mind as she dons a red dress with shiny heels. No one will douse that fire.

Burning Hearts (Poetry) - 3/24/2018 2:49:38 AM
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! Liana Margiva

Burning Hearts (Poetry) - 3/23/2018 10:08:38 AM
Almost too hot to handle. But hopefully the heat of passion will eventually cool the calmness of placid water. Ron

Burning Hearts (Poetry) - 3/23/2018 6:13:59 AM
Hearts burn when love is hot, it leads to passion, and loving thoughts.

Burning Hearts (Poetry) - 3/23/2018 3:53:00 AM
Between the physical burning and the emotional yearning displayed in this poem sparks are certainly flying, as you said higher and higher.

Steal Me (Poetry) - 3/18/2018 6:05:27 PM
I like the anguish and feelings of lost innocence. This poem is darker than your others. I love it!

Loop of Shadows (Poetry) - 3/5/2018 1:58:54 AM
Well ! The loop of shadows , it describes many things in our lives but especially the loops of those shadows created by desire, experiences and the romantic unbalance perhaps. Ronald : the cooch dance is " a sinuous, quasi-Oriental dance performed by a woman and characterized chiefly by suggestive gyrating and shaking of the body." Here in the poem , the cooch dance by the breeze is the thrill that it carries , beautiful isn't it? Cheers Rana

Loop of Shadows (Poetry) - 3/4/2018 7:54:09 AM
This poem seems to follow the shadowy essence of many dreams. But I am wondering what a "coach dance" really is…? Ron

Loop of Shadows (Poetry) - 3/3/2018 8:26:39 AM
A moving poem of shadowy hope. This verse sums it up: The frantic yet romantic library of thoughts." Ah, how the mind is ever at work, sometimes at cross-purposes with the heart. Thus, the loop of shadows of which you write.

The Living Past (Poetry) - 2/15/2018 6:09:13 PM
We remember little things of our lost loved ones. A touch. A whisper. They soothe us in our darkest hours.

The Living Past (Poetry) - 2/9/2018 8:01:26 AM
The end words on each stanza faithfully describe what an early love that many men like you and I had can do to our psyche. Often throughout our lives we may imagine what it seemed to be, what it could have been like, or even what it was like, but not to be. Ron

The Living Past (Poetry) - 2/9/2018 5:21:32 AM
there is only one thing throughout this piece, and it is love indeed, the timeless one. Cheers, alex

The Living Past (Poetry) - 2/9/2018 2:11:01 AM
Love bonds go on and on long after the person deceases, as long as there is memory and life, it remains with us forever. Thank you for the beautiful well penned poem Rana. hugs

The Living Past (Poetry) - 2/9/2018 12:02:42 AM
It is interesting how memory recalls things that have become lost in the past. This poem is quite evocative of myriad different feelings.

The Dearest Dream (Poetry) - 1/26/2018 11:42:18 AM
So tender and romantic, soft as a red heart floating in the wind, thank you for sharing Rana, keep writing these beautiful thoughts, I love reading them,

The Dearest Dream (Poetry) - 1/11/2018 6:54:46 AM
I can feel the words and music of your love. It's palpable.

The Dearest Dream (Poetry) - 1/10/2018 7:20:48 AM
Lovely! You are capturing the raptures of love. I like the unusual words you have chosen for some of the rhymes.

The Dearest Dream (Poetry) - 1/9/2018 1:03:31 PM
There is a melding between music and love. But it can be sad as well. George Harrison's lilting While My Guitar Gently Weeps, is a good example as it pulls on our heartstrings and fairly weeps. Ron

The Dearest Dream (Poetry) - 1/9/2018 8:16:08 AM
Love the image of "fingering my guitar / fabricating lyrics to the extent of desires." Now that's fine poetry. Also love the line "the thunder that you make by passion / I feel every emotion / I hear every noise." These words say it all and much more. PS: The photo fits the mood perfectly.

The Dearest Dream (Poetry) - 1/9/2018 7:25:40 AM
Nicely done.

The Dearest Dream (Poetry) - 1/9/2018 3:28:55 AM

I like it.

The Touch of Love (Poetry) - 12/24/2017 4:32:22 PM
The human soul yearns to be loved. And sometimes we find that love, and it isn't enough.

The Touch of Love (Poetry) - 12/18/2017 8:40:10 PM
You've got a romantic heart, which is the heart of the true poet. Perhaps that is why some of your poem evoke deep emotional feelings in the reader, feelings that we have all felt at one time or another.

Utaybah (Poetry) - 12/15/2017 4:33:35 AM

A churlish cheating duck (Poetry) - 11/28/2017 10:11:48 AM
Sounds like someone to steer clear of, a real fiend who knows nothing of love and certainly not worth being a sweetheart.

The Girl in the Snow (Poetry) - 11/12/2017 10:42:24 PM
When I saw the title, I thought "I am ready for this." The use of repetition throughout works very well in this poem, creating a sense of evocation that echoes in the mind.

Dreams Drenched in Fear (Poetry) - 11/6/2017 9:10:33 PM

Dreams Drenched in Fear (Poetry) - 11/2/2017 6:37:34 AM
Your words in this brief poem grab us with their power of expression. I love a bit of nonsense turned into powerful thoughts. Ron

Dreams Drenched in Fear (Poetry) - 11/2/2017 6:17:12 AM
I've had those dreams drenched in fear. They are never pleasant to wake up from, and they tend to linger far to long after you're awake.

Dreams Drenched in Fear (Poetry) - 11/1/2017 10:42:55 PM
A universal idea in this poem that is well handled. Yes, some of our dreams are indeed "drenched in fear" while others' lead us to have "reasons to be proud". You don't waste words in this one, everything subtle, understated, to the point. Well done. PS: I would take the "s" off repairs in the second line: you don't need it and it spoils the otherwise tight rhyme-scheme.

Turn me on (Poetry) - 10/12/2017 1:47:34 AM

Come on! Give me what you've got. You won't be disappointed in me in the least is what you have promised your lady-love. How can she resist?

Turn me on (Poetry) - 10/9/2017 6:51:48 AM
With phrases like, "plug-and-play," you have elevated lovemaking to a poetic high. Something one would read to a reluctant lover to get her/him ready to go. Ron

Green Silk (Poetry) - 10/8/2017 9:15:34 PM
Just tried to explain the theme.. Cheers ! Rana M

Turn me on (Poetry) - 10/8/2017 8:41:23 PM
A lusty, lustful play of words and emotions that strike their own unique note. An interesting poem, partly for what it doesn't say as for what it does say.

Green Silk (Poetry) - 10/4/2017 4:31:37 AM
green is the calming color of life

Green Silk (Poetry) - 10/2/2017 8:01:16 PM
"Where the dreams crawl without claim" seems to capture the secret of this poem. I like the way you tie it up at the end.

Green Silk (Poetry) - 10/2/2017 12:41:14 PM
Interesting idea. A continuous stream of green gaze to color our days.

Unleash My Passion (Poetry) - 10/2/2017 11:14:41 AM
Thanks Susanne, Thanks Eilidh Thanks John .. It is pure love ,lust has other definitions Thanks Jerry Bolton ... I'm glad you liked it Thanks Ronald... Everything I write is imaginary ,I had been alone almost all my life, I have no idea what a real woman may react to the poetry I write, the words and the passion. I hope one day my ears would listen "Love" Cheers ! Rana M

Unleash My Passion (Poetry) - 9/28/2017 8:45:19 AM
Quite an entreaty to a woman with, "………lips more fleshy than orchids and lilies." I think you can pry open her reluctance and allow you to, "unleash my passion…" with lines like that." Ron

Unleash My Passion (Poetry) - 9/28/2017 7:34:43 AM
WoW! I love that last line, Rana.

Unleash My Passion (Poetry) - 9/28/2017 3:52:50 AM
This seems to be a testament to passion and love (lust?) if there ever was one. Very intense and yes, colorful in its imagery.

Underneath My Skin (Poetry) - 9/25/2017 11:17:06 AM
It's a crime to be loyal in the modern world The word "love" seemingly lost its definition these two lines speak volumes to me, it seems like you have an old soul, an old fashioned heart and a loving disposition that is lost on the modern world. Too bad I say, hold yourself dear despite them and place those fences a few feet apart, allowing only those who deserve the closeness. Take care and thank you for sharing your precious heart so thoroughly, It takes a brave man to do that, xo

Underneath My Skin (Poetry) - 9/25/2017 11:01:22 AM
This poem is much different than your other poetry, darker. More in line with my morbid thoughts. I could hear Hozier's song in the background, "Take me to Church." We all live with our pain, hidden deep beneath our skins.

Underneath My Skin (Poetry) - 9/25/2017 7:26:48 AM
I sense that there is a sense of being singled out for being different or not fitting in--discriminated against. Ron

Underneath My Skin (Poetry) - 9/25/2017 6:12:32 AM
Not the destiny John but fate sometimes makes you think the way I though in this poem. Only the lucky ones see all the colors of life Cheers! Rana M

Underneath My Skin (Poetry) - 9/25/2017 5:57:02 AM
There is the recognition of pain in this poem as well as profound perception. Our destiny is not something as "such life I ever wished for." John

Love does Exist (Poetry) - 9/25/2017 5:13:31 AM
Thank you Ronald for the kind words, Thank you John, Thank you mystic rose I am flattered and Thank you Susanne for understanding my soul. Cheers ! Rana M

So sincere and honest in its appraisal of what love really means. As usual, you write lovely poetry that sings when one reads it. Ron

Love does Exist (Poetry) - 9/20/2017 8:22:15 PM
You capture here both the moment and the feeling. The reader feels that your love will never die.

In Love (Poetry) - 9/19/2017 8:17:23 PM
Love's emotion is elusive to capture; you have made a fine attempt in this poetic rendition to fill love's treasure chest with the appropriate words.

In Love (Poetry) - 9/19/2017 11:41:43 AM
You keep the love alive with your words.
