Sleep Lightly (Poetry) - 5/23/2008 9:22:06 PM
Thanks, Chuck. I wondered where all that colorful weird stuff
I've been dreaming up lately came from. Love your writing.
Gene.
Progress (Poetry) - 5/23/2008 9:18:34 PM
In my philosophy, Chuck, we're all brothers and sisters to the tree.
So what happened to your huge oak trees is plain ol' murder. Good
poem, damn well written. - Gene.

Animals are soul protectors and are collective souls as well. So you never know....

I have some of the same thoughts about my own pet cemetery.

The New Quarter (Poetry) - 4/9/2008 5:51:23 PM
Chuck,
Oh My...how sad. This Lady I Knew When I Was Little Loved Her House & Had A Beautifully Well Manicured Yard With Hords Of Flowers.....I drove By There The Other Day & It Is The Only House Gone. I was very baffled by this. Its just a dirt pile of mess. Not even one tree is in that yard.
Gettin Old Is Not That Much Fun......pfft

your title caused me to sit up and take notice -- had me reaching for my old Mitchel 300 and a rod !!!
I know the feeling well the tap tap of the fish, the rising excitement as my mind imagines what kind of monster awaits, the missed strike
Your poem captures it all elegantly
a good write!

Chuck,
Good one. We are stronger but smarter, I wonder. Maybe that's why I'm told fish is brain food. Peace, Love and Blessings Always, Paul.
Environ-mental (Poetry) - 3/21/2008 7:03:00 PM
I felt so lulled into the beauty that when the chainsaws in the distance came in it was like ,"Noooooooo!!"- shows skill how you created that in so few lines by using the perfect descriptive words prior to that. Great!
Environ-mental (Poetry) - 3/20/2008 11:33:53 AM
You describe so delicately all the beauty that so many take for granted and as ultimately calously destroy, well said...
