Beautiful! I know that you're right about the characteristics of a truly loving mother, and those in whose footsteps they tread. A wonderfully rich tribute to mothers, both mothers of color and mothers around the world! Nicely done.

I had a good father, but it is my mother that knows me best. As I read your poem, I once again worried about the role of the black man in society and why we have failed him and not giving them the power to be the father he could be to his children.

My mother is a miracle. I wrote a book about her faith. I would have been a mess without mother! Your poem is a tribute to mothers everywhere. Well done!
