Interesting story...the spider is also in our Islamic tradition, it was a spider's web that helped protect Prophet Muhammad and his companion AbuBaker in the cave after they fled Mecca on their way to Medina. Perhaps someone reading about this true story got inspired by it? Just a thought!

I do know all of this - and indeed, was fortunate to have been to visit these same places as a young teenager...
The reason we are experiencing the current-day mess, is, as you well-know, because Thomas Jefferson was prophetic in his statement - and the government perverse. They re-interpreted "separation of Church and State", so why should we be surprised Judges are re-interpreting the Constitution altogether? What starts out as just a tiny bit wrong......if not completely corrected and restored.......ends up miles apart from the Truth, from which it began. LOOK WHERE WE ARE HEADED....... AND, IMAGINE THAT!

I've been one of those retirees for quite a number of years, now. I must confess, it took awhile for me to get "up to speed." But as you might gather from my poem Be Still And Hear My Voice, I got the word and saw the light and know truth: "...there's lots and lots for us to do, we blessed retirees."

Solution would be to use your word-processing tools to first remove the formatting and then post it to AD using the AD enhanced tools. Mercy is generated by suffering...How Father God loves us, and proved it, in Christ's Crucifixion for humanity's sake, as a way to bring His creation back to Himself, that they might not perish, but have the everlasting life He intended for them, from the Beginning. Man's sin still separates him from His Creator, but our Merciful Father has given him the way back - through Jesus Christ!
His Mercy continues, in those who partake of His suffering on earth -

How true, Brother Art, and how wisely you have written. And sometimes it is exceedingly difficult to act in patience and love when someone treats you as though you are worthless and disgusting.

GReat write, Art. And yes, I know exactly what you mean, too. Like you, I asked God to send me my mate. And he did...Though the road was bumpy at times, we held together for 33 years and counting. Now we are inseparable...like peas in a pod. When God choses your mate, He remains steadfast in keeping that union strong. I loved this poem because it so reflects my feelings on the matter and my stong convictions that God is good. We must put our trust in Him.

We are to be Disciples (learn and live the disciplines)of Christ.
On the other hand, (you know me, ROCK - the Counselor/Advocate branch :)) the LORD shows mercy to all who love Him. Many people get ahead of the LORD's perfect timing, is all...and when that happens, they take the reigns into hands of flesh, instead of being led by His steadfast Spirit.

Praise God for your courage TO tell them, Rock...just like Jesus did, without judgment or condemnation...He simply loved them enough TO tell them...because He knew He was going to die for them, too.
It breaks my heart to see it...when they talk to me about it...I ask one question: IF IT ISN'T ABNORMAL, THEN WHY DOES ONE OF YOU PRETEND TO BE THE "OTHER" SEX? THAT GOES FOR FEMALES, TOO.
THE ARROW REACHES...AND THEY JUST STARE...OPEN-MOUTHED, SHOCKED. BUT, AT LEAST, I CAN WALK AWAY, WITH A CLEAR CONSCIENCE, KNOWING THEY "GOT IT"...AND EACH PERSON IS ACCOUNTABLE FOR WHAT THEY KNOW.
