Oh my, this speaks to me, Catherine. Been teaching for 10 years in China and it's no joke sometime with monotonous books the children don't like and and the cunning secrecy of managements and my lack of chinese leading to frequent isolation. Teaching is ok in small doses. One on one, or a very light teaching schedule.

You summed it up perfectly. My solution was to turn the alarm off. However the dog licks my face and the day starts anyway.
Pity you can not join me on a Wednesday night at Kirkpatrick Durham Village Hall, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland on a Wednesday night to play over 50s badminton. I always get a good nights sleep after that!

This is very interesting..........dragons in old Celtic lore were thought to be wise......
and in some cultures protectors, and others destroyers
I guess its all in how you let those thoughts into your mind

This is true of many writers, I suspect. You need to do something about this stanza:
A gift of beauty, when thoughts do flow;
But as of late it has been slow...
Maybe "A gift of beauty, thoughs ebb and flow" or something similar. Otherwise, it's obvious that you've inverted the line to get the rhyme word at the end. That's a no no.

outstanding write! i, too, am disabled; have osteoarthritis and walk with a forearm crutch. am always in pain; but compared to a lot of people, i am blessed; and the lord gave me a gift of writing on 9-11-01. come by my port and check out some of my work. most of what i write is fiction, and i write about mostly people who happen to have disabilities and how they manage to overcome their problems. some of the stories are sad, and some are happy; and some are angry and some are thought provoking! i mainly write fiction for children or stories about family life or living with a particular disability, as in my series, "open your minds" (all stories of people living with various types of disabilities or conditions). love, a new friend in texas, karen lynn.
