I admire you for your felicity with so many languages! I too, love adventure and have traveled widely. This story is very interesting because it starts as a sightseeing adventure and turns into an investigation as to whether or not you have found your junior high school teacher.
I have lived four places in the United States and now live in the fourth-largest city, Houston. I have traveled widely. Several times, I have encountered people that I know, particularly in the city of over 2 million people. And I have been fortunate to attend meetings and seminars with some of the greatest authors, actors and scientists in the United States like Forrest Gump (movie).

I like this. There are many things which can be learned from studying ancient tongues, this is a given. What is lost forever, it seems, is the tongues which have been silenced because man has either just forgotten or cannot find the written word lost people. Well done.
