Both poems are wonderful and engaging. One about the natural world around us and the other about the strength of mothers in adversity.
I find it strange that the word "he" is used rather than, "I," in the line between the two poems.

These are ways that are good. Thanks for sharing yes the youth now have very little respect. Good meter and flow in your verses.
