So very true, but there are far too many parents today that would rather be left alone. Parenting is such a bothersome chore sor they say. Many are having children, but so few want to raise them, too interested in themselves. You have written a good piece.

Your poem is an excellent way to give a Wake Up call to every adult in America!
"Unless the Lord builds a house, the builders' work is useless."
"Children are a gift from God."
Both verses are from the Living Bible, psalm 127, and should be taken as a caution--children are precious gifts, and need the nurture and admonition of parents and other adults to teach them the ways of God. How else will order be restored to America?
