This is a well written and expansive story about the human trafficking that is taking place in our world.
While this is the story of Kristina and her journey it could be the story of any girl or boy today.
This story takes you into the depths and depravity of human beings and how they treat one little girl and the horrors she endures.
This is also the story of what the police must live through each and every day and the constant nightmare they must subject themselves to in order to help the boys and girls who find themselves in the most horrific situations.
To say this is the picture of the dregs of our society, would be an understatement.
To simply say that this is a book that everyone should read sounds too simple but that is the one lingering thought that this reader has -- everyone should read this book to truly begin to understand the impact that human trafficking has on those involved daily with this crime.

A wonderful story from the whole world of Backyard. Much enjoyed, even as an adult, the adventures of Magpie and Lizzie. To find out that Lizzie was disabled and rescued was even better. A story with some lessons on how to treat wildlife that was very enjoyable.
Around here, we have resident mockingbirds that have our backyard as part of their territory. Interlopers are a nesting pair of cardinals and a nesting pair of blue jays. We have many little geckos that love to climb on our pergola (that we wrongly call a trellis). We have no pond, just a birdbath that various birds, sparrows, finches, grackles and mockingbirds both love to take a bath in and then drink the dirty water!
We also have toads, nightly opossums, and sneaky cats that come in and disrupt birds feeding at our feeder. Unlike Maggie, we do not feed the birds human food for it is bad for them, even if they like it. The grackles seem to thrive on bread. Something that is deadly to other birds.
Whenever my monster goes to the backyard, all the critters escape, not knowing she is gentle except to those she is afraid of.

A lyrical and imaginative piece that would probably sound very funny when read to a child or adult. Poetry such as this takes a very special mind to bring it to life. Well done Choco. I trust you are working on other childrens poems since you do it so well. I enjoyed this. Bob

A delightful verse any child would love! And to think there are companies and people out there trying to eradicate the dandelion! If they do, how in the heck will I be able to have my dandelion greens and my dandelion wine, not to mention anything to foof!
