I think criticism should be given where it is expected. Authorsden is more of a showcase of people's work. It appears that true poetic criticism is not expected, nor given. However, everypoet.com is a poetry workshop where one can learn to not only improve but to help others improve. Criticism is not expected, it is demanded. One is not any better than the other. They are what they are, both giving what is expected.

I've been on both ends of the 'critique' and one can either take it with a grain of salt if they prefer not to agree with it, or they can take it to heart and try and learn from the experience of it.
I'm sure I've managed a few off beat comments over the years, but I have to agree with Linda, we do our best to comment from the heart around here...and learn from it at the same time.
I too like your ability to write...and I enjoyed it as well.

I think poetry can mean different things to everyone. A person may find one funny...the other may not. I feel the ladies and gents in AD give reviews from the heart and they tell basically how they feel. Thank you for sharing this with us Sharon. You have amazing talent and I admire you work.
