Dear Jackie! This is a beautiful, beautiful poem!! Oh the beauty of observation .... Well Done!!! It's a true blessing to observe such wonder of nature! I love how you end it with the hummingbird still observing:
'The hummingbird remained
flightless
remained still
remained observing.'

Wisdom is worth more than silver and gold. Knowledge, wisdom,an Understanding . The Ancestors daughter who rise above the devils revenge. The decendants of kings and queens. She can take a $5.00 bill and live for a week. She's a warrior in a jungle and rise up as a jewel. Don't cry for her the ancestors daughter. The light that stands before her the blessing from God.

Why did you cut your hair??? Just Kid'n. We
wear or hair the same way. Its amazing how
much stuff one has to go through, because
of how we choose to wear our hair. And
some sistahs can be very demanding at what
they think should be the way.
This is one of the reasons why we started
The Black Women's Hair site, a couple
of months ago. And it has really been
a very safe haven for us to go to.
Writing about hair, has helped us with
our healing process.
