Oh.....Your poor father. One of my dear friends father committed suicide in high school because Mr. McNease just could not bare the thought of his SON maybe having to go to Viet Nam war! Thank God, Mac did not have to go ..but Mac's Mother had a nervous breakdown over the suicide of Mr. McNease! War is too sad!

You tell stories like I heard as a child from my elders. I miss them...and their stories. I wanted to be able to be "The story-teller" when I grew up. Authors den is my audience as there are no children around to listen anymore. Keep telling your stories as I love to read them!

I asked to withdrawal from my IRA...to pay funeral expenses for my spouse. I was told...NO!
I can only have it for these three reasons
1. I am no longer an employee...penalty
2. I retire
3. I die

You were blessed as you were allowed to re-live some of your past. Your story reminded me of the series-Without a trace-They always flashback to the character as a young person. You are a good storyteller and do not drag out the small details..but still you include enough for our minds to picture the scene!

Trying to write...but I do not know what to say. I usually have words, but your emotional story leaves me with no words, I want to cry. You are going through such sorrow and I hope you have Jesus in your life. He will and can ease the pain some...but remember, she is always where you are. This is a very moving story told with feeling and the way you paint the picture of the presents round the tree draws the reader into the story. The way they still wait unopened is very emotive. I think that this is an outline of a much longer story if you ever feel like writing it, it would be a wonderful tribute. On a practical note you may wish to edit the introduction which is misspelt.
