I like the phrase, "nadir of night." But, after all the questions, an answer seems quite easily arrived at. If she is too much for one man, perhaps you would share her with others that she chooses, and thereby fulfilling you both? Too often the romantic thinks in terms of all or nothing. That can lead to much sorrow and sad poetry. Sharing love freely without jealousy solves many problems, don't you think?

It's been a while since I've seen your intoxicating romantic poetry. Two things stand out for me. First, the idea that the dream was so real that you actually thought it was happening. I wish for all lonely souls out there to have dreams like that so that they would not be alone in this life and could love themselves a bit better. Kind of like having a imaginary friend, but more fulfilling.
Secondly, the putdown at the end was a big surprise. But I guess it was necessary so that reality could enter in and be much better than any dream.
