Thank you for listing the stories with a description of each. Makes it much easier to comment here. When I comment some authors think I'm giving them a review. I only review books that I read. I like your titles and your subjects. And I'm glad that you titled the book with "extraterrestrial" instead of alien. The word alien, certainly applies to the movie and sequels by that name, but other than that, extraterrestrial means that it is life that comes from a far-off star that, for the most part, requires high intelligence, unless just hitchhiking on a rogue projectile like an asteroid or planet for a very long time between star systems and galaxies.
And, I see that you like to write a broad scope of genres. In this case, you tend towards the horror or shocker in your sci-fi work. I tend toward the positive or enlightenment that intelligent beings might impart to us if they have the ability to span the distance between stars.

The excerpt is an excellent set up for your protagonist to get lost and find refuge in a strange house. However, if he's going only, "a whopping 10 mph," I don't think that he would be able to do all those gymnastics sliding out of control. At least 30 mph would be required.
This novella is shorter than many of my short stories. But I don't think I'll take the time to read it, not because you don't write well, but because dramatic horror stories involving families are usually something I like to read. Like reading the daily news.
