This is not a true story, although some parts of it have drawn on my personal experience. However, I did not know of any teacher who misappropriated school funds. This part is pure fiction.

I really like true stories, especially ones as well-written as this. But then as I came to this fantastic end, I began to wonder if the story is true or just one that you have conjured up from your teaching experience and used that situation here.
I've known several people in deep trouble over gambling. There was a English teacher that I had asked to edit my first novel. She told me she didn't have time even to work on her first novel. Later, she was found using pay for student she didn't hire on a federal project to help with her gambling debt, over $300,000. She escaped prison because the court felt she was to ill.

Ron, I think the confusion in the plot has also confused you. The point is that the names have some similarities and that it was Drakkos who directed them each to meet the wrong person; so it was his fault.

An interesting story that could, perhaps, happen. I noted that you are certified both as a story writer and editor/proofer. I've been told that I should let the conversation carry the story and not so much the description, like the secretary, Susan, looking sympathetic toward George. Also, I'm not well-versed enough about clothing to know that the men would be wearing the same outfits. You seem to be very good at describing what people are wearing. I probably need to work at that.
Finally, I don't like the conclusion. For all four of them to think that it was Drakkos's fault when they had made the arrangements for meeting, seems to be a bit preposterous, especially since they knew the names of the people they were going to meet.
Finally, speaking of mistaken identities, reading your name makes me wonder if you are ever confused with one of the richest men in the world? It certainly may help your Google standings or not. When I googled my name, just because of my first name, sometimes Ronald Reagan appears on the first page of listings.

I enjoyed your well-written story which engaged my interest from start to finish. Fortunately, each of the four got to meet their ideal match, though John Daniels sounds like quite the disgusting specimen.
