You are right Carla. This war has nothing to do with protecting America's security. This is the war of Bush & Cheney and all of their corporate and oil buddies. What a waste of American and Iraqi blood.

Poems like this one makes me wonder. We've lost over 3,000 killed over there, who are men that signed up not drafted. Since we've been there we haven't experienced another 9/11 here. Which by the way took more lives in one day than the years we've been over there. The question of Weapons of mass destruction is still an open case. In a land where you could hide the Empire State building, hiding a few hundred chemical war heads is nothing in comparison. Our goal now is to plant seeds of democracy in a region where dictators kill thousands. Sometimes those seeds take time to nurture and grow. If you'll notice the geographic location of Iraq, it's right in the middle of all of these dictators regions. Giving us the option to move in any direction needed. As far as mothers losing sons, and children losing fathers. From the revolution until now the sacrifice has been made by hundreds of thousands in order to give you the right to voice your opinion without being beheaded. I'd much rather fight them over there with trained troops, then to battle them in our streets here. You and I could never begin to fathom the reasons or the causes why we go to war. Maybe you won't be one of those who yell that we should have done more when another tragedy hits our country, but you can bet a lot of the whiners will. Right now nothing but politics is causing the negativity about this war. So in closing, give those who enlisted and died for you a little respect because they knew where their dedication lies.
