Well said, this poem takes uncertainties of a woman and grips the reader with a need to reach out and comfort. Love may be evasive to this heart now but she will not sell herself cheap...if it is worth having as the old saying goes it is worth waiting for.

It is so true, whether you are lonely because you have no one, the someone you have is far away, or you are just lonely inside...the pain of heart isolation is one of the truly worst and you captured this so well in your words. Looking forward to reading more of your work.

How true-reminds me alot of my favorite song by country artist Jamey Johnson called "The High Cost of Living." I read it at my brother's wake, as he was a recovering addict and I wanted to continue to spread the same message you showed here for his memory. Great poem.
