The author's knowledge of this topic shines through on every page. His obvious love of the history and use of slate roofs is unmistakable. You can feel his frustration, anger, and sadness when dealing with one property. Jenkins offered to remove the slate roof at no cost only to discover the owner had removed and thrown all the slates in the garbage. What a colossal waste.
An easy-to-read publication that is informative as well as enjoyable--is unique, but this is one of them. The title certainly caught my eye. Although you didn't present it in the description, I believe that you and I see eye to eye when it comes to making use of human fertilizer to save the planet. The only benefit I see right now from all of the sewage plants is the prodigious number of catfish and tilapia that propagate below the drain sites providing food for the masses. Something akin to an outhouse located in the middle of a fish pond in China.
From your bio you are quite an accomplished writer and I like what you write. Slate roofs are cool, but I believe, in United States, quite expensive to install.
