This is an inspiring story of some very difficult trials, told with honesty and courage. It is a moving story that was inspiring and touching.

The theme of this book is that of redemption, or the second chance, and it's that theme, when played out in the life of an individual that gives hope and inspiration to others. I was very moved reading Mr. Holmes autobiography, knowing that "he who has begun a good work...will carry it to its completion..." I give Mr. Holmes much credit for his courage in sharing the good, bad, and the ugly of his life, for being so transparent in the face of possible judgement and criticism. Although the story is a short one, I do believe it still brings a very powerful and positive statement.
