I don't know that I necessarily agree... I wholeheartedly agree with most everything you said, except I think children do see color and differences. I don't think those differences or colors really matter to them unless they are fed those prejudices from an outside source though. At least that has been my experience.

I think the word "nigger" should be banned from the English language; it's a terrible, awful, ugly word, and I remember hearing my granny using it whenever she talked about people who were black. She also didn't like Mexicans or Japanese; she was extremely prejudiced. Me, I try to accept people of ALL races, there's bad in ALL races, but I try to be RESPECTFUL to people, regardless of who or WHAT they are. I try to treat people as I would want to be treated. You have penned a very informative, eye opening write, Dahveed; very well done! BRAVO!

The only problem I have is with the Mexicans not speaking English around people who don't speak (much or no) Spanish; I think that is flat out rude! Don't GET me started on how I feel about illegal immigration....BRRR!!

Tune in, let the media dictate what WE should hear - all the ugliness, increase our fear --- what happened to the goodness that surrounds us? Oh, yeah - not good for ratings. I'm a firm believe in praise begets goodness. Show more violence, get more violence.
