A special place (Article) - 5/14/2005 8:50:07 AM
What a misuse of one's time to waste on unkindnesses, even the coninuance of the original. You're experience of "A Special Place" is what we all should promote...Good article for any day.

Wonderful thought~ You know I look at the many writers and the many ways they convey their thoughts... There is no perfected writing... we all are different and that is why I adore reading... the differences, a new way to look at life around us..I agree with you; we should all accept our differences and get along and even find some delight in them...
A special place (Article) - 5/6/2002 4:31:19 AM
I'm not aware of the problems yet, but thanks for bringing it to people's attention who don't know. i hate it when people abuse sites like this. When I was on themestream someone wrote a very rude comment about something I had written, and I was going through a rotten time in my life as it was. People do neeed o be careful about what they say.
A special place (Article) - 4/30/2002 8:33:22 PM
Hi Robin....I am going to perfectly honest here...I don't know what is going on...and I do not want to, but I do agree that this wonderful open form of expression and thought is in danger if people do not stop to consider other's feelings. Very nice write, enjoyable read, even if the topic is a little unusual it does provoke thoughts. Thanks again, Trish.

I like that cute sketch of Ron's. Hey Robin, I must have missed the controversy going on here at Authorsden. I'm not sure what you're talking about. Are some of the writers arguing about something? Anyway, you made me think of my last article called "Peace On Earth." It's not very positive. But I am so frustrated over these suicide bombings. (but I'm still curious about your above article. Let me know what's going on)
A special place (Article) - 4/13/2002 9:28:01 AM
Well-said Robin!! if we carry our differences all around...things will never ever conclude. We'll never find a solution. Let's open our minds...

I agree with the Amazing poet who stated it really causes one to think,....who is he?" , but I think I have an idea and I don't like his ways. his intro seems inticing but then the rest feel slimy and your poem is an excellent illustration of that,

Lost Little Girl (Poetry) - 3/18/2006 9:44:50 PM
this piece is so sad, because it is so prevalent. so difficult for parents to hold their tempers with their little ones, and so many are so hurt instide from past hurts that they simply must pass it on, regardless of the eventual cost to their own souls. you express this ably, and even though it is such a stark and hurt-filled scenario, your wordsmithing is direct and to the point, no frills or sidebars necessary.
Who is He ? (Poetry) - 3/18/2006 9:42:44 PM
man...your writes are always so close to bubbling over with this internal heat and passion that simply must just well up from the center of you into your pen, keyboard and out, into the world, to find it' resonation in the hearts and minds of those of us who red you, robin. your use of language and intensity is admirable and perfect for our shard discipline. thank you for sharing this gem!

Shadows (Poetry) - 1/17/2006 1:44:11 PM
engaging indeed..rather than exploring both halves of our holistic selves, as most choose not to do, knowing one'self is the utmost challenge of a lifetime..whether or not this is based in reality or possibility, the very act of exploration reveals that both sides of human nature feed each other, and, like the yin yang symbol, contain shades of opposition in their very essences. Good contains seeds of Evil, Evil contains seeds of Good. A wisdom drop, this!
NIGHT CRIES (Poetry) - 1/17/2006 1:41:36 PM

CHILD OF LIGHT (Poetry) - 1/4/2006 4:19:43 AM
"
When nothing filled me, I clung to pride.
My exterior looked strong while I crumbled inside.
This past year has been one long and soul crushing ride.
My heart ravaged and jaded feelings looking for someplace to hide."
I grewup in a family of Lutherans they were strick through many challenges and defeats i ran like this during teens till early thirties. Then it was not enough and so much darkness some how I was stopped and Met the lord once more he too calls us children of the light. It is much nicer in the light of things. A very positive and well expressed poem and witness. Ty for sharing the inspiring poetry.

Dan,
Asking me to take an entire poem and condense it to a sentence or two I am not sure is fair but hey I like a challenge as much as the next women so here we go.. it's about a jaded women with some communication problems and a man that "GETS" it but she is not sure she can be everything that he deserves or needs. phew,,,,,so, how did I do with the Reader's Digest version? :) and thank you for your comment. Daddy (Poetry) - 10/31/2005 6:22:30 AM
A depicting of a sad experience of a child that made a teenager old
to age a billion years... "Daddy" strikes thoughts on family and social affairs and stimulates social responsibility.
I have learned from this composition the importance of a child care;
and what family represents.
Thank You, Poet for lighting the candle of healthy life.

Love Me Like Air (Poetry) - 10/27/2005 8:44:04 AM
such a basic, primal need. air, love...i appreciate the paucity of word usage here, you use only what's necessary, not expending energy in extraneous metaphoric construction, which only builds a sense of airiness, in perfect compliment to your subject. well done, poet.

Love's Abate (Poetry) - 10/26/2005 10:42:22 AM
It is always a privilege to come to a literary banquet that pleases my soul and nourish my mind. “Love's Abate” offers a full emotional composition to satisfy Phoebus, make Erato proud, and Minerva smile, while Cupid confesses his mistakes. This poem meets knowledge, embraces wisdom, and glows by the monument of The Major Art enriching the history of Poetry.
Long Healthy Creative Life, Poet!
In gratitude and reverent admiration.

Dear Robin,
I'm glad I stumbled upon your den. This is an incredible poem. Classical poets of yore would welcome you among their midst. How well I know the pain of a broken heart but never have I been able to express it as profoundly and effectively as you just did. Great work!

I loved it. I went through three marriages. I went through three wonderful women. Fault was all mine. Every time. Except the third one stuck. Well, mmaybe the first one was a little bit her fault. Oh, yeah, while I'm thinking about it that second one . . . Just kidding around here. Loved the poem.

Daddy's Princess (Poetry) - 7/19/2005 4:41:35 AM
Some fathers are like animals. They do not fit to be fathers.
Last night I've watched "Nanny 911", it is the best show I've ever seen. The couple have adopted two twin girls. They are so good to the children who have gone wild, the Dad was concerned so he had dialed "Nanny 911" for help, and I'm so glad he did.
The have finally broken the walls between themselves and the children, and they now can finally sit down and play with the children. The two twin girls was re-assured the love that is stored for them.
I like how the mother told the adopted child when asked by the child where did she come from. The mother answered, "You've come from my heart." I think that was a beautiful answer. When re-assured of the love she has for the girl, the girl finally broke down and cried and hug the mother. It was a wonderful show.
There are several nannies in this show "Nanny 911", unfortunately, next show will not be the same nanny. I think last night's nanny was the best. She knew where the problem lies in the family and was able to make everything better. I was so moved by last night's show I sat there and cried.
Then after that "Hell's Kitchen" came on, and I felt sad for Elsie, who had to leave the show because all her competitors were jealous of her success. Some people are so wicked I can't believe what I saw happening right on the TV. They were supposed to be working as a team in the kitchen, but all of them ignored her, no one said a word to her last night, no help came to her. As a result she was bumped out of the show. Sad indeed!
Two good shows on every Monday night, beginning at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Gosh! Look how your poem has made me talk. Sorryeeee!...if you think I'm talking too much!!!!!!

Daddy's Princess (Poetry) - 7/18/2005 5:46:29 PM
Honest. Real. Not to be ignored any longer. Now. What are WE doing about this? It's like war. This world is alien to its inhabitants. We have no excuses. We CAN change it all. Stuff like this (what you write) provides the reason. Anyway. Thanks. And love and peace and strength to you. Regis
Daddy's Princess (Poetry) - 7/18/2005 1:39:06 PM
This kind of moralistic treachery happens so much more than I ever thought that it could . . . or would. Sometimes I have some of the very same feelings about the male sex that a lot of women do. Yes, we are evil, but as in anything else, not all of us are. Men do not hold onto the title of evilness alone, women can be just as bad. Not trying to make excuses for pedophiles because to me they are the lowest common demoniator. They deserve a life sentence withough parole, plus castration for the first offense. There will be no second offense.
Daddy's Princess (Poetry) - 7/18/2005 1:30:19 PM
Robin you have presented this with chilling effectiveness.
It has always been a mystery to me how a father could do this
to a daughter. So hard for me to fathom what gets into a mans
psyche to do such things. I wonder why more isn't done to deal
with this abuse that continues to horrify and ruin so many
childrens lives. It is a disgrace in an enlightened society
that it continues to happen, and even more so than ever before.
A blight on our society!
Eileen

"Daddy's Princess" seems to be depicting thousands cases in this
- nightmare's story - and it is, for a great number of similar situations are accounted throughout the country, (USA) and in most cases the "RULE OF SILENCE" is the reason that the
EPIDEMIC MALADY can't be eradicated.
I have enjoyed the reading of "Daddy's Princess".

Been there, done that. Still in therapy and if it weren't for a strong Faith in God and decent meds, I'd have been dead a long time ago.
I used to wonder how long he would get away with it. The thing that I never knew was 'God sees everything' and he didn't get away with anything at all.
He died in his apt. alone, was there 6 days before being discovered. I have to tell myself that he was mentally ill or I'd go crazy. Love & Peace my dear friend.

Mr Willow (Poetry) - 7/7/2005 3:06:05 PM
This was compelling and a fun, rhythmic ride that held my attention all the way from question to closure - or not, as the case may be! A well-told tale - you seem a very relaxed and natural story-teller, Robin - and I like the slightly open-endedness of it. Yes, it is a heavy demand to put on just one other "ordinary" person to hold everything that encompasses perfection as far as we are concerned; and yet, the inverse of that is that, if we are together with the "one" who CAN make us complete in every way (that's certainly not to say PERFECT!!), then surely his imperfections we will love as much as his perfections; in fact, perhaps that is what we will come to love about him - the fact that he ISN'T perfect so that he won't show us up! Sorry, feeling scrambled after the London thing, but I enjoyed this immensely, and thank you for your visit to my pages, too. Kate xx
