Song of the Wolf (Poetry) - 2/14/2008 8:00:29 AM
Wow! Impressive write... My favorite line... "And knew the dark beauty of an untamed mind..." Your words draw the reader in and brings your poem to life. I love the contrast of dark and sunlight and the wolf with a friend. There is just so much to love in this one... Cryssa

Requiem For The Lost (Poetry) - 2/14/2008 7:55:48 AM
This poem brought back memories of all the childhood pets we had. I think that the pain of losing some burned a hole too big and I've never had a pet since. Cryssa

The Hunt (Poetry) - 1/31/2008 7:01:16 PM
Me chasing... that other me... to a new horizon! The poem seems to be speeking of the fantasy realm, when in reality (that other reality) this poem is pretty dang deep (I can't believe I said "dang") But it's true. The poem is pithy. In fact, I love it. I like the thought/feel of me being akin to wolf. And I don't know if it's intuitive, or on purpose, but masks and wolves...? They go way back-- all sorts of archetypes... A very good write. --Charlie

I walk the Desert Alone (Poetry) - 1/21/2008 4:13:25 PM
slightly prophetic and meandering; this is so very isolating....and lonely. ..the heART is a lonely hunter type of atmospheric search. .. ness

I believe there's a beast in us all-- a tameable beast. The good part is that seeing the beast within yourself makes you more empathetic to the beasts that are in others. They are ours to tame, befriend, and move us... --Charlie

Requiem For The Lost (Poetry) - 1/17/2008 6:57:40 AM
How sad. I've a little old, old doggie who's on her last legs. So sad to watch them go. I like the part about the dog hairs. I like it because I know it's a paradox. I get so upset about dog hairs all the time. I breath them in, they cling to the furniture, but really, when little Copper goes and her hairs remain, I know I will love them. Check out Leo Durrant's "La Llorona". There are some similar ideas. Take care. --Charlie

Fabulous, absolutely fabulous. I can't believe English is not your first language. Your young talent is formidable and weaves images of deep and profound resonance. Love your work! Keith

Song of the Wolf (Poetry) - 12/18/2007 8:37:51 PM
Fabulous! It was the dark wolf who found me. I'd been living in the light, in the tops of the trees. But darkness found me. And when I tumbled down from branch to branch, I could not hear my heart beat, beat, and I thought that I was dead, but he found me. His eyes burned holes into my belly, my chest, my eyes...and he loaned me his heart to live a while. The wolf, as dark as death and night walks with me. But I choose to live in light. And when the edges of the night creep in, I do not fear. My wolf-friend's waiting just beyond that curtain. --Take care. Charlie

Autumn Lover (Poetry) - 12/18/2007 8:29:57 PM
I always enjoy a good hard review, and I'm not sure how you feel about that, so let me tell you what I like about the poem, and then if you want more information, message me, okay? I really like the softness of the poem, and the loneliness that's felt in the end. There are good visual elements of autumn in here too. Your use of metaphores is excellent, and I even like the cliff-hanger at the end. There are other elements that get in the way of imersion into the poem, however. I'd like to discuss them with you. You obviously have talent! --Charlie

You're a very talented young poet. Your work has structure and feeling and eloquence. Just a kind word..."By skin feels old...?" Keith

I'm glad i've found your work. I really enjoyed this. Your use of allegory is excellent and evokes a feeling of haunted introspection. I must admit though, (and please don't be offended - no offense is intended), I'd enjoy it even more if you removed the spelling errors. I look forward to reading more of you. Keith
