In the novel Dreams, the young Kenny resigns his position at a warehouse in order to work for the wealthy businessman Deshay. The reader is shocked as he is murdered before he assumes his position. The warehouse is a cover for a dope distribution ring. Kenny's boss (Frank) is also a victim of homicide. His sibling, Lisa, collaborates with Deshay in searching for answers in the slayings. Derrick, a culprit in the murders flees Cleveland to Los Angles. He shelters with a rough element, continuing in the underworld of a dope and weapons trade. His partner (Deshawn) is left in a coma back in Cleveland. Time reveals that he is able to recover from his wounds in order to reconnect with his partner in crime.
The reader is charmed by Deshay's love triangle as Lisa displaces his wealthy love interest Rebecca. An intriguing twist to the plot occurs as Deshay repeatedly dreams. Consulting a hypnotist, he discovers Derrick's identity while realizing that Derrick also has the psychic ability to see him. The lovers, Deshay and Lisa, risk their lives, leaving the reader on edge. They devise a video sting for Carme, a drug dealer, to implicate him in his illegal activities. A dramatic gun battle ensues. Deshay senses Derrick who has his own battles far away. Derrick passes into eternity, but Deshay survives his wounds to continue is love affair with Lisa. Carmen meets with an unfortunate end at the hands of Lisa. The reader is relieved that love triumphs as the villains are overcome. A suspenseful crime drama for the avid reader is what the author delivers.

When Kenny, a warehouse worker that was starting his up-and-coming job the next morning gets killed for seeing something he shouldn't have, his sister, Lisa, turns to her brother's perspective employer, Michael DeShay of Deshay Enterprises, to start her search for answers. Soon Lisa and Michael begin working together to solve the mystery of Kenny's death, when they run up against organized crime and Angelino Carmen, the mob boss. While this is happening, Michael is having dreams he can't explain. Derrick Dent is a gangster who is on the road to becoming a life-time criminal. Derrick is having dreams he cannot understand or explain. Are their dreams related? Two men, both from worlds like night and day, are connected through a dream. Can it be explained? Daniel Forrer has written a wonderful novel that is a must read. "The Dream" is a classic psychological thriller that keeps the reader on the edge of their seats. I cannot say enough about this book! The journey is intriguing. the ending is excellent. This is a definite 5 star. I can't recommend this book high enough!!!
