I'm not much for divorces. Mine was benign and uncontested. My lawyer made two mistakes with the paperwork, but they were corrected. Unfortunately, it was devastating for me financially having invested so much in the marriage.
Your writing is superb, filled with adjectives and innuendo that make for compelling reading for those interested in domestic disputes… I'm not.
I don't know if this is truth or fiction. Either way is okay.

I hear your cry as well. As one who has spent my life trying to write well, I now find that many who call themselves, writers, often violate the most simple tenets of language and proper communication. As for the oversimplified and instantaneous means of communicating via all forms of modern gadgetry… Anything goes. In the absence of editors, gibberish is now presented as an art form for readers.
On the other hand, the original or, old, English was a hodgepodge of Latin, Anglo-Saxon, and any number of other dialects and nuances. I find that reading anything from the 17th century England, Scotland or Ireland to be exceedingly difficult, often because I do not know the fonts used, the punctuation, or the spelling.
American English has new words added to it at an astonishing rate, giving writers like me a whole new way of expressing ourselves that would have been understood, just a few years ago. I'm still pissed off about the misuse of the apostrophe,

Your lament brings to mind 2nd Timothy 3: 1-7. Seen as a metaphor: I can imagine that if waves hit a retaining wall long enough the surface will erode and the substance of the wall will begin to lose its integrity. At some point the wall will just begin to disappear. Such it is with a Godless, egocentric, vile, do anything they want, pill-popping society. I hear your cry. Thanks for sharing.
