Haunted (Poetry) - 5/6/2021 3:37:02 PM
The painting kept my eyes on it for some time. Very unique. My father passed Feb this year, so the last day of life premise of this piece is especially significant to me at this time. Thanks for sharing. rlc

Memories of Summer (Poetry) - 12/10/2011 2:33:05 PM
Only you know those secrets locked away of that innocent stroke of artistic painting with not just words but memories and forward motions. I would have loved to have been a reflection in the mirror to see what lay true within the eyes looking back in return...to see the complexities of your truths dear and your carefree escapades of unforgotten youth.

Excellent tribute. The rage lives on forever etched in our memory.
Nine Years Is Not Enough (Poetry) - 10/8/2010 6:55:13 PM
The images of the planes flying into the tqwin towers is forever etched in my mind. I will never forget the horror od that day, and my shock when the towers collapsed. Proprety and lives were stolen that day at the hands of cowards who didn't have the guts to fight in an honorable way. And I don't care if the bombings, and killings are in New York by someone from another country, or here in Oklahoma City, the gist is the same. These people were cowards, and the ones who sent them on this misson are nothing but cowards too. If Bin Laden is sure that his god is on his side, why doesn't he come out a fight. Because he is a coward, that is why.
Thank you for sharing Tracey.

Nine Years Is Not Enough (Poetry) - 9/11/2010 6:54:12 AM
I hope we will NEVER forget. This evil act was much worse than the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor because it sought out civilians who were going about their day by day business of living.
Memories of Summer (Poetry) - 3/15/2009 4:53:10 AM
The 60's were not good for me, but this poem is cheerful, and makes the picture a reality. We are all artists in our own way. Some paint, some carve, some mold, and still others write. But for me it was the fall of '59 when I decided to become an artist of the written word, by writing my first poem of safety while crossing the street. I rate this a 10 ot of 10, and thank you for sharing.
May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love and who love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

Can You Hear the Sea Gulls Cry (Poetry) - 7/28/2008 10:48:16 AM
This is so passionately emotional, it makes one stop to think. The tides of temptation run through our souls everyday, but it is with strength and will power than we can withstand them, and not let them take us into the sea of destruction. When we have faith in our Lord, the tides of temptation don't seem as ominous. Yes Tracey, I can hear the Seagulls cry. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Tracey,
I read this from work and couldn't comment...you changed the last stanza, but it is actually tighter and more poignant this way. Not to say the original didn't work, just that ending it with "ellipses" really "shows" the meaning. Very tight and concise!

Five Years Is Not Enough! (Poetry) - 9/12/2006 6:38:24 PM
It is true, 5 years is not enough. This year, the media tried to make less of it, it seemed as if we were expected to turn off our emotions just because it has been 5 years. It seems that we are being told that we need to forgive the beasts who did this to so many people for no reason other than to cause pain and distruction. They (terrorists) don't want anything from us, theirs is simply the thrill of the kill and then to leave the carcus to rot in the blazing sun. How do civilized people ever forgive that complete lack of regard for human life? They have nothing to really gain, I guess that is why it is called terrorism. Excellent pen, Tracey. Thank you for having the courage to come forward and say what, I am certain most America feel in their hearts. There will never be enough time for us to forgive and there will never be enough tears to wash away the pain.
Take care,
Sherry

To Kill a Dream (Poetry) - 2/8/2006 6:53:16 PM
my feelings exactly Tracey. When my mother sent me away because she couldn't handle a transsexual child, I refused to allow myslef to be taken into the arms of the manipulator. I refused to allow myself to feel pity for myslef, while the manipulator kept me in his clutches. I refused to allow myself to be forced into living a lie. I have always been true to myself, and I have always been me. I put my bitter remorese on paper and screen, and in doing so, I have killed the dream of the manipulator to make me someone I never could be.
Thnx for sharing sis, this is so heartfelt, so soulful and emotional.
May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS))))))))), your little sister, Barbie
