This is interesting. I just saw on PBS a program about this a few weeks ago. They mentioned human pollination being done in China, which if we wind up going that route would be very expensive. This program did say they were having sucess there with this though. They talked about the bees becoming disoriented and not being able to find there way back home. They still don't know why it is happening according to this special but they are looking at pesticides and other diet issues. I am glad you wrote this.

Even if Einstein is wrong, the vanishing honeybee will have devastating consequences for us all. Some believe it to be those deadly pesticides, which we just refuse to stop using; some believe it to be a deadly new bee parasite; and some now actually believe it could be our cell phones, and other high tech wireless microwave emissions that span the entrie globe, these days - interfering with honeybee navigation. And some now believe, it's a deadly mix of all three.
Our modern day lifestyles may do us all in, one day very soon.

Have you ever heard of the Mad Cowboy? He was a fourth generation cattle rancher. A few years ago, the Mad Cowboy was on Oprah denouncing the meat industry and pointing out why today‘s mass produced meat was killing people. A short time before that, he had been diagnosed with numerous tumors throughout his body. The doctors said he only had a few weeks to live--nothing could be done. He gave up meat and switched to an organic veggie diet. He’s still alive and I believe he has a Website at MadCowboy.com. Needless to say the Meat industry went to court--one cattle rancher organization after another took the Mad Cowboy and Oprah to court to shut them up. Guess who lost over and over and over again in one regional court after another--Not Oprah and the Mad Cowboy. There also a famous woman decades ago that was diagnosed with terminal cancer (she wasn‘t famous at the time. She became famous later because of the way she saved herself--she wrote her biography and a cook book.). I don’t recall her name. My dad had her cookbook. If I remember her name, I’ll make sure to get back to you. This woman was lucky. Her husband was wealthy. She lived into her late seventies and died of something other than any of those tumors. She controlled the cancer by growing her own organic veggies and learning how to prepare all her food uncooked so none of the nutrition was lost. She also cut meat and sugar out of her diet. Cancer loves processed sugars and that included honey.
