The Son of the Streets (Poetry) - 3/26/2008 7:52:52 AM
HEARTBREAKING reality for far too many - painfully, brutally told - must be - if we are to stop this - well done, Mystik.

The Son of the Streets (Poetry) - 3/5/2008 9:26:14 AM
Wow! I know many males who have fallen victim to the street corners and back alleys...this is a powerful story. I hear similar stories in real life and I see the power of "being down" can have on young men and women too.
Missing You (Poetry) - 3/3/2008 11:43:47 AM

Gone (Poetry) - 3/3/2008 11:38:51 AM
I watched the horror on TV and it still brings me pain. Keep writing and get the stories out. This was well written. Congrats on the new book...You go girl... :) Janice
Gone (Poetry) - 2/29/2008 12:07:46 PM
It's been two and a half years, and it's still not fixed - oh, the touristy areas, maybe, but not the places where N'Awlins throbbed with life - with love - same old same old. Hear you, girl - please keep writing (righting), I'll keep reading/reviewing. Tracking you to not miss another word -
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :(
Missing You (Poetry) - 2/29/2008 12:05:37 PM
Da Lady Mystik Mystik,
Used to live 60 miles north of N'Awlins - damn, I miss her, too. Wasn't there when the bitch tore through there, but a lot of what I remember ain't there no more - mostly, her charm - she lies open, exposed, vunerable - have written a lot on Katrina, myself. This one hits below the belt in one loud scream - well done.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
Gone (Poetry) - 2/21/2008 6:00:00 PM
All the pain, frustration and agony still continues as so many try to get their lives back on track. A difficult road to walk down and you have expressed this well....
Be always safe,
Karen
Gone (Poetry) - 2/21/2008 9:58:55 AM
Excellent and emotionally packed offering all that a poem could pertaining to this horrific and unforgettable holocaust that continues to linger and hover in the hearts of many.
Personally, I believe the feelings and descriptions you shared will never go away or at least I know they will not for me.
My heart goes out.
Welcome to the den hope you enjoy your stay and congratulations on the release of your upcoming book.
Blessings to you and take care,
~Gwendolyn
