Gotta Go, Gotta Go (Poetry) - 8/3/2009 12:53:03 PM
There was no plumbing in our house when I was little, not even in the kitchen... ...and I remember the outhouse. This is very effectively done, Marlena. Thank you for sharing. Love and best wishes,

What a lovely piece of prose/poem . . . I mean, hell what could be better than remembering how "real" baloney taste like? And cherry kool-aid . . . Ah, but of course ole Mr. Louis and Twain . . . Characters which pop right off the screen to stand beside me, and I can almost smell that mangy mutt's odor . . . Looks like ole Mr. Louis could give him a bath . . . Jeez!!! . . . All of your mememories are my own . . . Coming from a small south Arkansas town I know exactly what you are saying here . . . WELCOME TO AUTHORS DEN!!!

That's alot of memories, and because you write 'em down in a journal and make poems of them you remember better than others - I'll bet at least some of them can never be found again in this world - why I can remember a few that even I miss, like those lightning bugs and June Beetles. Your poetry is the preserver of your world.
Welcome to the Den!

You remember well, when life was simple, slower and in my humble opinion better, more free....
Be always safe,
