I couldn't put this book down. Passion, pain, excitement, energy...you had me hooked all the way to the end. The story left me asking for more. Do all of us a favor and give your readers more very soon.

Sometimes when I read I simply plow through a book and it leaves me with a ho-hum feeling. However, Cheri Clifton masterfully wove a beautiful, compelling story in her novel, Trail To Destiny. The story has it all. Five stars and two thumbs up! How about a sequel?

You take me back to English class! I disagree with some of your single word responses. Negative cash flow means much more than broke. It means being in the hole… Another euphemism?
That commandment about not saying anything about your God, has led to a plethora of euphemisms. But the one you didn't list that I heard only from my grandfather was, "Judas Priest!" By looking at that literally, he was sure safe from blasphemy. ;-)

Hope you don't mind me sharing the (almost) same review here. A well-written piece that started a thought-process in me. There are so many idioms. Beyond the Pale. The biter being bitten. Cock and Bull Story. Doubting Thomas. Dutch Courage. Feet of Clay. Fiddle while Rome burns. Gild the Lilly. Go the extra mile. On the beam ends. Beat around the bush. Knuckle under. Lamb to the slaughter. A little bird told me. Moot point. A pig in a poke. Pull the wool over my eyes. Rule of thumb. On and on these little phrases go. There might be millions. Who knows? Enjoyed your little take on idioms and clichés. I enjoy using a cliché occasionally in my poetry and novels. Sometimes they are the right fit for the situation.
After my uncle died at 102, I called up my cousin and asked how everything went, since when my uncle was 99 he was still quite healthy and living in a little assisted living apartment making his own meals. My cousin told me that he kept his good humor right up until the end. "He would call out to the nurses, 'Hey nurse! Bring me a bucket! I want to kick it!'"
