I fully agree wit the excerpt shown above. The concept we hold now a days is distorted in many ways. The first Christians after the day of Pentecost in the book of Acts continued steadfastly in the teaching and fellowship of the Apostles (Acts 2:42). The teaching of the Apostles keeps the believers in the one living. The fellowship keeps the believers in the one life necessary for the one living. Fellowship is the communion, the flow, of the divine life through the believers.
Our Goodly Fere poem is quite correct to point out the the Lord, our saviour, is a genuine and real man. This man today is the glory objectively, but subjectively is in the regenerated believers' spirit, ruling and reining their life as far as they let Him to do so.
The author of this book ought to be congratulated for presenting such a picture of the Apostles and of Jesus, the Christ, is a way void of the distorted view held by today's society.
