As his reader began this book, it became apparent this was going to be a part of American history I had never heard of.
The author did a remarkable job researching this very important topic. It seems as though every detail was uncovered and its correlation to the building of Miami uncovered. It is quite the story with its many monies families involved.
For anyone who enjoys reading the history of the United States -- and especially Florida -- this is a book to add to your reading list. I would hope that this book is found in every classroom in Florida.

This moving publication had me walking through the life of Patricia Daly-Lipe's great uncle. What a remarkable gift she has given people in her research and telling of this story. This is a wonderfully written and compassionate work that anyone interested in duty, history, and the makings of a war should invest their time in.
This young man lived through the worst humanity displayed toward another human being. To say that we learn from history so as to not repeat it in the present has left many to wonder if this is true as we look around the world in present day.
The context of the war has a person contemplating the realities of where our country finds itself currently. For families who are living with loved ones in the military and in harm's way--we again have to wonder about the validity of the many conflicts around the world and whether or not we should be there.

Absolutely one of the most enjoyable books I have read about friendship in a long while.
While it can be sad at parts, the plot of the story revolves around the friendship of Teddy and Just'n.
An easy and fun read for all young children who are fascinated by horses and want to read a book told by one.
I will be passing on my complimentary copy of this book to a local riding stable for them to give to a child who will enjoy it.

Horse Tales: Teddy and Just'n Come to an Understanding is a fabulous book for any young reader who love horses. It is sad at times when Teddy and Just'n tell about their life. But I enjoy how they are living now. I would be interested in reading more stories about them in the future. I cannot wait to pass my copy on to the school library to share with others in my children's school.
I give Horse Tales: Teddy and Just'n Come to an Understanding five plus stars.

This is an empowering article about the muse in the Stories section. I agree very much about the spontaneity of writing and where ideas are writing come from, “like lightning.”
