A very interesting and twisted tale. I could liken it to a black hole on earth disguised as a quaint little village.
My sister suffered agoraphobia until she got a magic pill (I don't know which one) and life was a living hell for her. There was no bloodletting or death, but she got so anxious that she would vomit whenever in public situations like her wedding.

Thank you, Ron. My errors are strictly stylistic, and albeit I write short stories this is actually one of my flash fiction pieces. I usually use these on networking sites to give readers a taste.

I certainly hope he wasn't singing about the last of that dozen roses, because my experience with roses, with you cut them or not, are very short-lived… Perhaps as little as a week or two. On the other hand, if he is singing about roses in general, I have seen them growing wild along roadsides and they will probably be here long after we're gone.
