It takes quite an imagination to come up with 14 tales about being in the dark. I might be able to come up with three or four. Still, the very brief excerpt from one story is in the light because she is looking in the mirror and it isn't dark at all. I get my most vivid, and terrifying, dreams and nightmares in the dark, but they are mostly scenes in the light and even some of them are in color.
I applaud you for all you have accomplished so far.

Assuming they are intelligent beings, let's hope they are coming in peace! You seem to jump genres here from uncovering old mysteries to suddenly discovering a science fiction fantasy.
I found it humorous how you considered Star Trek the ultimate definer of other worlds with so many of them having 1G gravity, atmosphere and the right composition to breathe and other convenient, humanlike proclivities.

By very definition, a hero must "do" something that resulted in a/an heroic act or result.
I think it's sad that we call people heroes who are merely innocent bystanders in the lottery of life and death. It is not being a victim that makes one a hero. It is usually someone who challenges or sacrifices everything to right a wrong that makes for a hero.

I think a lot of people live their lives in a kind of darkness, most are too afraid to look for the light inside themselves. If all of us could find that light that makes us shine, then we would know the path that life would lead us down, and we will enjoy getting there. I like this poem.
