I am glad that you did bury her in her boots and hat. My brother-in-law wanted to be buried in his red suit but the funeral director did not allow it. I image that pissed David off but your mom and dad sound like my parents. Momma made it to 90 before she joined daddy. But I bet your folks and mine are having a grand old time in heaven.

My father died at 76 a few days hy of his birthday and like your wife's dad mine was also a farmer. I too have a lot of wonderful memories of him. A man with one simple philopsy of life to enjoy each day given in the day that it is given to you.

After reading your Bio, I can say I have been there too, to some extent. Becoming a Christian quite late in life, I found a Church that seemed to be just what we were looking for. Unfortunately, man made rules spoiled it, and spiritual abuse came into play. I am in another church now, there are still man made rules but I hope I have learned and grown enough to avoid the traps and keep my eyes on God. Jackie <> <
