Petals of Love: Poetry of a Woman's Soul (Book) - 7/1/2026 10:59:23 AM
Hi, How are you? I analyzed your story and really liked it.
The Plates (Short Story) - 8/14/2026 3:37:10 AM
A heartwarming story.

They Can Hack Our Data But Not Our Souls (Short Story) - 5/3/2018 3:55:59 PM
what a worrying and worrisome thing to happen glad you were able to get the situation taken care of and remain friends!! Never Stop Writing! m

They Can Hack Our Data But Not Our Souls (Short Story) - 4/13/2018 1:07:41 AM
I realize that even being mistrustful by nature is no guarantee against being hacked. Thank you for sharing your experience and wisdom in the aftermath.

They Can Hack Our Data But Not Our Souls (Short Story) - 4/11/2018 5:30:22 AM
While I found this more like an article than a story, I really admire the way that you and your husband handled the situation. You were proactive and major that you protected yourselves from future intrusion. And, worked together rather than fell into blaming. But, after being together for so long, you know how to work together better than apart. The words that I would fill in to that blank seem to be unacceptable by my dictation system or the Microsoft Word spellchecker. So, I had to type mine in and make sure that I spelled that expletive correctly; and then, not let that spellchecker hacker change it back to something less offensive. ;-) About three years ago, my twin brother filed his taxes and found that someone had filed taxes under his Social Security number to get a refund. It took him a long time to get that mess straightened out. Several years ago, I saw small purchases made on my credit card and immediately contacted my bank. Hackers frequently use small purchases to avoid detection from people who do not look at their credit card purchases carefully. Since then, my bank has become very proactive and changes my credit card any time they detect even the slightest problem. I would advise anyone using a credit card to watch it carefully and report any anomalies so that the bank can, perhaps, catch the culprit, as well as refund the loss. About two years ago, I received a pop up telling me that my computer was compromised. The company calling was a British Internet company based in the Virgin Islands. I called the number concerned because I heard that Apple computers were being compromised like PCs were. The guy on the phone asked me to have access to my computer and I watched while he started deleting files. At one point, it asked for my computer password and he asked me to enter it. I entered it more than once but it didn't work. He got embarrassed and told me couldn't, "fix my computer." For some reason, after talking to a supervisor, they removed the credit card repair charge. Fortunately, my computer worked all right after that and no files were compromised. But, I did worry a great deal about what I had done since I was quite savvy about computers and should never have let someone have such easy access that I didn't know anything about. They may have downloaded some of my information but I didn't have any problems, so they may have been a legitimate company. However, I now hang up on all the other calls I've received to, "fix my computer." Ron

They Can Hack Our Data But Not Our Souls (Short Story) - 4/10/2018 9:07:13 AM
So glad you got through the frightening experience, and even derived some positives from it. I recently was foolish enough to give up my credit card information to a bogus e-mail "alert" that appeared to be from Amazon. Since then I've received several other similar "alerts" supposedly from other companies. They look quite real, but I'm not quite as easy to fool now.

A Harried Hurricane Season (Short Story) - 9/26/2017 7:10:13 AM
very well done and a well described regimen for those living there as you do. Having lived all over this country of ours and on two other continents during my life, I have found that every place has its own nature driven catastrophes to deal with, we should all stay as prepared as you seem to do.

A Harried Hurricane Season (Short Story) - 9/25/2017 5:07:08 AM
So beautifully written and detailed… Kudos! What was interesting was your paucity of description of the overnight hurricane passing through. From my memory of Alisha, with the eye passing over our house in 1983, it was the storm itself that raised the greatest anxiety. The howling wind (perhaps it was your earplugs) all night long keeping us awake and the water coming in everywhere on every window in our newly built house (a problem you probably didn't have) that kept us using towels to try to keep our carpet dry. That howling wind worked on my nerves until it was all over and we could go out and survey the damage. Very slight at that time. Like the deluge of 32 inches we got from Harvey. While dramatically displayed as flooding throughout Houston, like most here, we were spared. Ron

A Harried Hurricane Season (Short Story) - 9/25/2017 1:11:05 AM
Your very well-written story is filled with accurate details and chronicles the emotions and regimen one goes through pre and post hurricane. Glad you fared well. May you continue to enjoy your beloved state of Florida.

How A Capricorn Moon Faced Her Fear At Balata Gardens (Short Story) - 1/1/2015 8:40:07 AM
Another well-written account of personal experience. I was born serious, too. But I never put any credence in astrology although I was born on December 21 just as the sun was going down on that dark, cold winter day. I also love heights and thrill every chance I get to fly or climb where I get a different perspective on the world. Congratulations on conquering your fear and realizing a whole new experience. Ron

The Plates (Short Story) - 3/15/2014 8:12:59 AM
Your father knew something that prompted him to think about your future. Makes a wonderful story. My parents made it to 62 years before Dad died. I was unable to attend, but a 60th celebration was given, perhaps in anticipation that they wouldn't make their 75th. Ron

The Plates (Short Story) - 3/14/2014 3:20:30 PM

Astrological Commentary On The 2016 Election (Article) - 2/21/2016 7:24:57 AM
I read your analyses of the candidates' astrological signs and find that they are the way that most of these astrological indicators are… Mostly quite generalized and something that would be generally flattering and acceptable to anyone, making them mostly innocuous and generally inconclusive. Not worth paying money for like the fortune cookie after a Chinese meal. As of South Carolina, Jeb Bush has resigned his candidacy, finding that he no longer can ride on the Bush Dynasty like his brother did. My analysis is that there is no strong candidate from any of the parties, including any independents, out there. There are no candidates with charisma, lack of political/bureaucracy/business entanglement, education and youth to be ultimately qualified to hold the office of the chief executive of the most powerful and influential country of the world. There are no JFKs or Obamas in this race with a vision for the future and a great care for all of the people, not just those of their particular ideology. The closest person to this ideal is Bernie Sanders. However, like Ronald Reagan, his age may be a deterrent to serving the most difficult four years of his life without turning over heavy decisions to underlings like George W. Bush unfortunately did. Whoever wins the presidency, our country will survive. We have survived bad presidents before and we will survive them in the future. Politics has soured so many people that good people see no value in running. After all, how can anyone feel good about begging for money every day just to spend millions on a presidential candidacy with very little hope of being the final choice. One becomes beholden to whoever gave you all the money. Shame on us for allowing this to happen. Any citizen should be allowed to run for president without having to shell out huge sums of money to do so. Ron

Reminder To Myself (Poetry) - 9/17/2026 3:59:43 PM
Blooming is what we should be doing. We should let all of that knowledge and wisdom free so that those follow us we have the good sense not to make the mistakes we made. Ron

Reminder To Myself (Poetry) - 9/16/2026 9:26:50 PM
A lovely and wise Haiku, Myra. When the 'heart remembers' it is not just recalling life's events, it is re-engaging with the self, the emotions, and the life connections that helped shape who we are. Sometimes, when my 'heart remembers', the memories sneak out of my eyes and roll down my cheeks. Nice to see your name again. Hope you are well and happy. Kind regards. rlc

The Hands of Time (Poetry) - 12/30/2025 8:51:23 AM
A very gracious way of looking at life. Knowing that someday it will end, but living it to the fullest while we can. My sister told me today that although he has an army truck from the 1950s and a used four wheeler that needed repairs, as well as his son restoring the 1938 Buick sedan, her husband is no longer interested in working on those vehicles and "has no hobbies." She told me that they are too busy. Busy doing what in their efficient little home they built? Removing snow from the driveway? I don't know. Ron

The Dream of Peace (Poetry) - 10/4/2025 1:02:12 PM
Voting in good conscience would help. We have to remember that living in our current time is far better than it ever was living in the past. All kinds of facts prove that, even though it seems with the immediately of events, that things are worse, when they're not. We are just obsessed with what is bad. And frankly, I'll have to admit, most of us find the overwhelming good, nice, but boring. Ron

That Special Blue Bird (Poetry) - 10/3/2025 1:20:08 PM
Lovely evocative poem. I had to go find a recording of an Eastern Blue Bird song as I have never heard one sing, we don't have any in the UK. Then I found the song on YouTube sung by Jim Peerce, they don't make them like that now. It was a big hit in 1940 the year I was born. Now I am 85 and some very old memories have come back to haunt me.

The Gardenia (Poetry) - 8/3/2025 9:51:49 AM
I'm intrigued. Was this poem a metaphor for you're coming to age like a gardenia? Or was it that your husband grew gardenias? An image would really have this poem. I began using free AI, like Designer that comes with MS office 365, to make quick and beautiful images for my poems without having to worry about copywriting. Ron

Until It's Time (Poetry) - 10/17/2023 9:39:04 AM
I read this to my wife, Myra. A touching insight we both enjoyed. Your line- "Hands together still" is a great image that says much. Congratulations. r

Until It's Time (Poetry) - 10/17/2023 8:21:30 AM
May there be, many many more. My folks were together 62 years. They weren't always calm years, but they learned, in time to enjoy about it to the fullest together. Ron

Seventeen (Poetry) - 9/12/2023 11:21:59 AM
I love this Myra… Those first three lines say, yet can be seen to question so much… Was it fate, meant to be, or were you star crossed lovers…? Whatever, it has been, and in concert you walked your paths… A really beautiful poem… My best wishes, Diana…🌿

Seventeen (Poetry) - 4/16/2023 7:53:50 AM
A bit of nostalgia and a bit of pride, a wonderful tribute to a life traveled inside. Makes me wonder if it is the way of your life. It begs a picture of that 17-year-old girl. Ron

Seventeen (Poetry) - 4/15/2023 8:59:36 AM
"Like a beacon in the fog" A fine image, Myra, with numerous applications. Happy Birthday to "she." Enjoyed. Peace... rlc

Seventeen (Poetry) - 4/15/2023 8:13:20 AM
Beautiful and heartwarming.

The Mountain (Poetry) - 8/10/2021 9:30:23 AM
You have a way with poetry that makes it so understandable. In this case how you have built a life from that first spark that attracted someone of another culture who became "woven" the fabric of the rest of your lives together. Very sweet and wonderful. Ron

Spiral Song (Poetry) - 7/2/2021 9:14:51 AM
I love your poem, Myra. It's sage and heart touching. In the end, love is all that matters. Well penned and much enjoyed. 33

Spiral Song (Poetry) - 4/26/2021 9:59:11 AM
I love this Myra... and I love this seasoned lady with her precious memories, ...always filled with laughter, joy and tears... ‘and all created with a loving energy that transcends time and space’... I found it very emotional and intensely moving... Best wishes, Diana...

Spiral Song (Poetry) - 3/7/2021 11:23:21 AM
I'm not sure about the "spiral" part, but I find that many policee write their poems from their lifelong experiences… I do. Ron

Spiral Song (Poetry) - 3/2/2021 6:26:25 AM
"Loving relationships" I agree Myra. For me: Two imperfect people refusing to give up on each other, and who sing a song together only they can hear. Enjoyed. Kind Regards.... rlc

Remember Me (Poetry) - 2/15/2020 12:36:55 AM
I once tried writing a poem with the same title. I failed. It was too much for me. You did a wonderful rendering.

Remember Me (Poetry) - 2/13/2020 12:00:33 PM
Much to be remembered. It certainly will be your poems and stories that will endure through time. Ron

Lovely words, and a lovely write to that special someone in your life..

Her Majesty, The Moon (Poetry) - 5/24/2019 6:59:43 AM
It's a cold arid orb that takes our breath away. 'Her Majesty' has been an inspiration to many millions over the centuries. Me included. Well expressed Myra. Peace...r

Her Majesty, The Moon (Poetry) - 5/22/2019 10:51:29 AM
So beautifully personifying all the acts of the moon. Most people don't realize the power of the moon has on our lives. Most particularly a woman's menstrual cycle going back millions of years and time with the moon and the tides that the moon brings. Ron

You Are Not Alone (Poetry) - 4/9/2019 9:42:11 AM
That's something we should all strive for.

Earth's Elixir (Poetry) - 3/20/2019 2:45:12 PM
To sup from "Earth's Elixir" is a wonderful way to combat almost anything which comes our way, but I think you quite understand that. Love these three lines.

Memories (Poetry) - 2/7/2019 10:12:25 AM
Places and landmarks can bring back memories of happy times. Nicely told in story form. Ron

Memories (Poetry) - 2/6/2019 8:57:47 PM
Refreshing poetic story!

Oneness (Poetry) - 1/21/2019 10:43:13 AM
There is nothing more inspiring. I recall sleeping one night in a turnout along the Avenue of the Giants. I awoke in the morning to the magic cathedral like nature of the place. Everyone should experience that at least once. Ron

Oneness (Poetry) - 1/20/2019 3:20:36 PM
"When the ego disappears," Yes.... that's the key to many things, Myra. Lovely imagery. An evocative message. Enjoyed. Peace... r

Oneness (Poetry) - 1/20/2019 3:00:29 PM
Very obstute observation, my friend. When the feelings you have written about capture us, we understand clearly that indeed, "Oneness becomes our truth." I loved this.

The Bouquet (Poetry) - 12/25/2018 8:57:32 AM
Yes indeed, that gift, especially one from the heart soothes troubled minds.

The Bouquet (Poetry) - 11/21/2018 9:25:26 AM
It wasn't the mums. It was who sent them, that touched the heart. Ron

The Bouquet (Poetry) - 11/19/2018 2:44:14 PM
Sometimes that's all it takes. Enjoyed the message in this, Myra. Have a blessed Thanksgiving. r

Love's Regret (Poetry) - 11/5/2018 8:36:46 AM
It's always courageous to write from the viewpoint of the opposite sex. In this case, you reminded me of my brother who lost his first love to divorce and then struggled to find his second after six years of regret. And then, recently after 25 years, his love, in good health, died tragically from a fall. He has wasted no time, this time with regret and is back dating again. Ron

Love's Regret (Poetry) - 11/4/2018 6:46:32 PM
I've missed you, good to see you back again. This was a absolute winner!

Love's Regret (Poetry) - 11/4/2018 5:43:18 PM

Beach Meditation (Poetry) - 7/13/2018 7:27:18 AM
When I'm by the seaside, I find that my peace and quiet is interrupted by the noisy sea and punctuated by the raucous calling of gulls, necessary to be heard above the surf. Ron

America 2018 (Poetry) - 6/5/2018 11:53:34 AM
Yes, there is a new openness to society that is frightening to those who are tightly stitched. Ron

America 2018 (Poetry) - 6/4/2018 12:30:59 PM
This kind of simplicity can test you. I'll attest to that. I force myself to write in syllable formats when I don't feel inspired creatively. Always have. I love the challenge. For me it's like giving the creative motor a tune-up. I find the more you use the discipline of syllable formats, to streamline your thoughts, the easier the process flows. The biggest challenge then is not the syllables, it's choosing the perfectly colored words to paint the message as succinctly as possible. You have accomplished that here, Myra. Enjoyed. Peace... r

The Magic of the Meadow (Poetry) - 4/29/2018 7:43:31 AM
You so reminded me of those carefree younger days where the meadow was magic in the forest filled with dark wonders. I am sharing the same year with you and it's wonderful to think back on all that we have lived. Ron

The Magic of the Meadow (Poetry) - 4/28/2018 9:56:39 AM

Picking Up The Weeds (Poetry) - 8/21/2017 3:52:49 PM
As I was weeding this week, I reinterpreted what weeds were...Some of them were sitting so prettily alongside the rest of the flowers, with a dignity that was so engaging, that I left them there...a flower is a flower after all... Life offers us that choice to reinterpret our past, and to be forgiving and accepting. Wisdom is a gift earned through choices... Weeds or Flowers? I love your poem... Diana...

Picking Up The Weeds (Poetry) - 8/20/2017 7:27:35 AM
I like pansies because they will survive freezes and keep on blooming. I have been rethinking weeds because we put so many harmful chemicals into our ecosystems just to get rid of insects we don't like. By eliminating weeds we affect biodiversity and endanger our planet when we don't know what we are doing. Ron

Picking Up The Weeds (Poetry) - 8/20/2017 7:23:51 AM
I've done my share of weeding and pruning over the years, both internally as well as externally but those darn weeds just keep growing wild.

Picking Up The Weeds (Poetry) - 8/19/2017 9:49:57 PM
A poetic way to talk about making the best choices in life. Then to know, life is NOT perfect and there will still be some weeds. Well done!

Picking Up The Weeds (Poetry) - 8/19/2017 2:45:01 PM

Away (Poetry) - 5/29/2017 1:42:13 PM
The seasons, especially the spring, is full of majesty and wonderment. Each bloom scents the era like a fine bouquet sung in song. Thank you for the message of hope and renewal.

Away (Poetry) - 5/23/2017 9:08:03 AM
Certainly very uplifting just like spring always is. Ron

Away (Poetry) - 5/23/2017 5:31:18 AM
Spring, when nature comes alive.

Away (Poetry) - 5/22/2017 9:45:33 AM
Spellbound. Bliss. Wonderment. Ecstatic. Sounds like a very good dream Myra, or, perhaps, a momentary glimpse of Heaven. I, too, love Spring. In Springtime the Earth is like a child that knows poems. Enjoyed. Peace... r

The Doves (Poetry) - 5/2/2017 6:28:28 AM
Yes, doves certainly bring thoughts of lovebirds wherever they are. Your poem intertwines the two beautifully. I was fortunate once to have wrens build a nest in a fern I hung in my apartment balcony. Watching them bring hundreds of little green worms to the babies in an endless cycle was wonderful to watch their dedication to parenthood. This morning we have mourning doves and white wing doves at our bird feeder. Pairs will spend the afternoon in our small backyard searching for food, visiting the birdbath for a drink and lounging in the shade. They are such peaceful, caring individuals. Ron

The Doves (Poetry) - 5/2/2017 5:50:00 AM
Reading this, I thought back to all of the times i've watched birds build a nest, lay eggs, observing the newly hatched baby birds grow and then leave, leaving an empty nest.

The Journey Into Long Ago (Poetry) - 4/7/2017 4:55:42 AM
Having had regression myself, and within my family, ...I understand what you say... The experience is so real, there is no doubting its authenticity.. I am happy for you that it was so helpful...and you discovered your truth... Regards, Diana....

A Toast To Lasting Love (Poetry) - 2/12/2017 10:25:25 AM
Worth raising a glass to for the 56th time. Congratulations and many more. Ron

A Toast To Lasting Love (Poetry) - 2/12/2017 9:57:54 AM
Congratulations on 56 valentine's together. It's been 40 for my wife and In this day and age, relationships don't last near that long. None of the married couples we ran around with all those years ago are still together, and many have been divorced and remarried several times. Good luck to you and your husband.

A Toast To Lasting Love (Poetry) - 2/12/2017 9:25:51 AM
This makes me feel very, very good that two souls can maintain their love for all those years. Congratulations are in demand to you and yours.

Hope Riding On Eagles' Wings (Poetry) - 2/1/2017 8:59:12 AM
Hi Myra I love your Rhythmic writing. It puts music to the words and you stay on tight subject, not wondering. Keep it up !! Thanks Darryl Ehlers

Hope Riding On Eagles' Wings (Poetry) - 1/27/2017 2:58:00 AM
I agree with your end statement. We need the hawk and the dove, a perfect balance. God knew what he was doing when he made these creatures. Thank you for sharing your ethereal poem of beauty, have a great day dear Myra x

Hope Riding On Eagles' Wings (Poetry) - 1/26/2017 11:17:06 AM
I don't see much hope in the devaluing of education. When we turn education into a business or moneymaking we have missed the point of critical thinking. When we start thinking the way our cohorts think rather than for ourselves, hope diminishes. Ron

Hope Riding On Eagles' Wings (Poetry) - 1/26/2017 9:07:56 AM
If only the division were between hawk and dove... And not by sanity and self-centered megalomania With control of the nuclear arsenal.

Hope Riding On Eagles' Wings (Poetry) - 1/26/2017 8:22:33 AM
We need hope, and the ability to compromise, which is something we seem to have lost somewhere along the way.

Beautifully put, Myra. I, too, have an abiding love of nature. The mountains (my favorite) the ocean, the high desert; and all of them very accessible down in SoCal where we live. Enjoyed your thoughts. Happy Holidays. Peace to you... rlc

We Are Golden (Poetry) - 11/2/2016 5:15:57 AM
A wonderful tribute to the institution of marriage and of the fruits that it bears. We are not all as fortunate to have 55 year spans in a single relationship. Congratulations, and congratulations for such a wonderful poem. Ron

Finding Peace (Poetry) - 9/4/2016 6:45:10 AM
While the natural world is filled with drama from insects to large animals struggling to survive to reproduce and live through horrendous seasons of plenty and drought, still, on the face of it, all is quiet and peaceful. That is the irony of the natural world. Most of the time there is great peace and tranquility. Occasionally however, that peace will erupt with immense violence. Ron

Finding Peace (Poetry) - 9/4/2016 4:54:06 AM
lovely read

Finding Peace (Poetry) - 9/3/2016 9:52:48 PM

Finding Peace (Poetry) - 9/3/2016 11:10:52 AM
A very exquisitely written poem about the majestic things to see if we but look at nature's gems with an eye for grandeur.

That Special Blue Bird (Poetry) - 6/17/2016 6:46:50 AM
LOVELY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Liana Margiva

That Special Blue Bird (Poetry) - 6/15/2016 6:33:15 AM
While I long to see an Eastern bluebird and hear its song, for some reason, I can't recall the song, Bluebird of Happiness, even though I've heard of it. But, through the magic of Google and the Internet I can listen to that song and even view movies where it was used. The good old days may have been good. But isn't today with your poem and the world at our fingertips wonderful? You bet it is! Ron

That Special Blue Bird (Poetry) - 6/14/2016 4:28:30 PM
I completely agree with you Myra on the synergy of listening to beautiful music and writing a poem... I had a friend who played the most beautiful Ludovico Einaudi music on the piano... I wrote my poem 'Inner Sanctum' whilst listening to her play 'Oltremare' my favourite piece... Where the words appeared from as I wrote I don't know...they just appeared on the paper...it was a fascinating experiment... The Bluebird of Happiness...is this connected to the Shirley Temple film of the same name? ....we never tire of watching it...such a good moral tale.... As for believing ...Yes...always!! I enjoyed your words a lot...thank you... Diana....

Nature's Tonic (Poetry) - 5/31/2016 4:35:28 PM
Your words are my soothing tonic of the day... Diana...

Nature's Tonic (Poetry) - 5/31/2016 6:18:59 AM
I don't like haiku but I certainly enjoy the quiet sounds of deserted state parks. A wonderful retreat at our age from the busyness of life in general. Ron

The Wings Of Time (Poetry) - 5/21/2016 2:35:59 PM
Enchanting... Diana...

The Wings Of Time (Poetry) - 5/4/2016 10:30:52 AM
When her wings shook the leaves, I assume (dangerous thing to do) that the leaves was a metaphor for her life up to the present. If so this was a very good piece of writing.

The Stars Know Best (Poetry) - 2/19/2016 6:24:29 AM
Mankind cannot rest, that's why mankind, is continually put to the test. Excellent write. Michael D.

The Stars Know Best (Poetry) - 2/18/2016 10:38:29 AM
You have clearly written a poem for our times with so many people dragging their feet in the face of inevitable change. People don't know what's in their stars for the future. What you wrote about ideas is quite a coincidence. I just penned a poem along a similar vein for opening your poem and reading it. Am I channeling you? Certainly no intent to plagiarize your fantastic insight in this poem of yours. Ron

The Stars Know Best (Poetry) - 2/18/2016 7:09:36 AM
Astronomers not long ago discovered a nova so powerful , or a gamma ray burst, forget which , even though billions of light years away ( thank goodness) it is brighter than all stars in our galaxy put together, a few billion times over, unbelievable the forces in the universe.

The Stars Know Best (Poetry) - 2/18/2016 6:58:40 AM
Strong imagery supports your message; a process that no human has control of. Well-considered. Enjoyed. r

The Stars Know Best (Poetry) - 2/17/2016 1:32:12 PM
Yes indeed, this old world never stays the same, and that goes for us humans who inhabit it. We change with it for good or for naught.

The Weavers of Shadow and Light (Poetry) - 12/17/2015 7:08:09 AM
Like your poem suggests, love is still everywhere. What is perceived as conflict and strife is now greater then it's always been. It's just now that the media picks up worst quickly and funneled to us. Controversy gets the attention. The infamous are as famous or more so than the famous. This week, 190 countries got together and agreed on a major issue confronting our world. That coming together of nations is unprecedented and shows that agreement and love for our planet is stronger than conflict today. Ron

The Weavers of Shadow and Light (Poetry) - 12/16/2015 11:11:22 AM
Nothing can rise above love, that's a fact, for real love is divine! Well done, Myra!

The Weavers of Shadow and Light (Poetry) - 12/16/2015 8:09:31 AM
Yep, you are right in that love is the answer to life's blessings. Even so, sometimes, many times, love can bring on even more hurt. Still, we should never give up the search.

The Weavers of Shadow and Light (Poetry) - 12/16/2015 7:10:16 AM
A very enjoyable read. All we need is love. Michael D.

Old Love, Precious Love (Poetry) - 10/25/2015 8:21:43 AM
Such a uplifting and powerful expression of love. When a couple compliments one another instead of being codependent, their bond grow stronger with time and trials even make the bond stronger. It sounds like you both are defeating his cancer with strong resolve. Ron

The Door (Poetry) - 9/24/2015 10:25:35 AM
A FANTASTIC PIECE OF WORK! ONLY 'HIS LOVE' CAN TAKE US THROUGH TRYING SITUATIONS...'ONLY' IT CAN ENABLE US TO RESIST EVERY OTHER NEGATIVE FEELING THAT TRIES TO ARREST US. I WILL KEEP THIS. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

A Moment In Time (Poetry) - 6/18/2015 12:38:49 PM
Connie nailed it

A Moment In Time (Poetry) - 6/2/2015 12:32:01 PM
It's hard to believe that a complex, life-altering event, with all its ramifications, can be expressed in three lines, but that is what you have achieved. This little gem touches my heart deeply. Connie

A Moment In Time (Poetry) - 6/2/2015 7:47:50 AM
Based on the 2nd line, I would think the 3rd line might read, "Leaving us [only] love." Ron

A Moment In Time (Poetry) - 6/2/2015 3:30:33 AM
...that's powerful, Myra, powerful message....everything is eventual...why not enjoy the moment...while it is still here...it is called: a present...for reason...because it is a gift...give it a shot...till forever ends...

A Moment In Time (Poetry) - 6/2/2015 2:06:17 AM
I can identify entirely with those words that say everything... Diana...

A Moment In Time (Poetry) - 6/1/2015 5:33:58 PM
I think you nailed it. Michael D.

A Moment In Time (Poetry) - 6/1/2015 12:20:07 PM
I have often thought of haiku as too short to be able to capture much of value. You have just proved me wrong. This is beautiful!

Her Light Still Shines (Poetry) - 5/4/2015 2:06:59 PM
the sunken under the ripples eight words of your haiku still vibrate in the same continuation.... your full name totals 17 to be styled 'a fair lady of light verse.' Cheers

Her Light Still Shines (Poetry) - 5/3/2015 11:22:30 AM
You have said so much in nine words.... Diana...

Her Light Still Shines (Poetry) - 5/2/2015 7:49:07 AM
It's hard to describe a long life in such few words. Even a full poem would not begin to to cover what 90 years has seen. Ron

Her Light Still Shines (Poetry) - 5/1/2015 4:26:41 PM
Beautiful and compelling senryu.

Life Goes On (Poetry) - 4/5/2015 11:09:14 PM
we watch and we sail ourselves. deep!

Life Goes On (Poetry) - 4/2/2015 5:28:07 AM
For some, but it never comes in. One thing is for sure, many ships will sail by in a lifetime and some we will catch, but most we won't. Best to just watch them while we have sunlight. I normally don't like haiku, but this one has a message that inspires. Ron

Life Goes On (Poetry) - 4/2/2015 4:18:21 AM
say you watch from shore ships go by a metaphor n'er sailed seven seas

Before The Spring (Poetry) - 3/3/2015 12:18:24 PM

So simple yet so deep. Nice Haiku!

Entering A Child's World (Poetry) - 2/1/2015 10:01:35 PM
...to seek fun and happiness child-like...gazing up at the blue sky...making up yoga poses...an impromptu dance...digging in the dirt...roasting marshmallows. Thank you Myra, for an "aha" moment...take your dare! and let my inner child out to play again.

Entering A Child's World (Poetry) - 2/1/2015 2:48:56 PM

Autumn is a little glimpse of heaven, I always say. Nicely penned.

Deep In Autumn (Poetry) - 10/2/2014 11:29:55 AM
Such is Autumn, she comes and she goes, but not without the leaves! Well done, Myra!

Deep In Autumn (Poetry) - 10/2/2014 10:15:26 AM
You describe the pleasure of a quiet walk in one of nature's most beautiful times. We only get glimpses of it here, but in my youth, often while out hunting, or even better, in a walk with a girlfriend, the way the light played on the color, and that musky smell of dead leaves remains today some of my fondest memories. Another lovely poem by you, Myra. Ron

Deep In Autumn (Poetry) - 10/1/2014 12:21:20 PM

Sanibel Retreat (Poetry) - 8/17/2014 6:01:07 AM
well done

Sanibel Retreat (Poetry) - 8/15/2014 11:08:04 AM
Yes, those little islands, especially ones with isolation enough to take them out of the rush of modern society can be wonderful to retreat to. They aren't so pleasant when the occasional hurricane and storm surge passes over them. Fortunately, all the wild creatures that live on these places have adapted well and weathered hurricanes for centuries. Delightful poem of an idyllic opportunity. Ron

Sanibel Retreat (Poetry) - 8/15/2014 9:03:35 AM
I remember when one had to take a ferry to Sanibel. Cars would line up waiting and dolphins would perform for us in the surf. A one-legged pelican was a big attraction at the marina. My brother worked on the bridge which made it 'go away', but I haven't been back since the '70s - glad you still find it so charming. Nice poem.

Sanibel Retreat (Poetry) - 8/14/2014 12:31:32 PM
Wow! Nice poem! I live straight across from Sanibel. Yes, I like to ride my bike there. Yes, I like to swim and kayak there. But there are so many nice places in Bonita Beach, Marco Island and Naples too. Then there is Venice, Sarasota and Tampa just to name a few. Not to mention thousands of islands scattered to and fro. Yes there is beauty in this part of the world, wherever we go. Looks like I got another poem to post. Thank you Myra!

Bali Hai Forever (Poetry) - 7/9/2014 10:48:40 AM

Philly (Poetry) - 6/11/2014 5:15:54 PM
Excellent write...I used to live in Northeast, well, in and around the Frankford neighborhood...used to be able to ride my bicycle all the way down Frankford ave into the city proper (couldn't do this anymore as the people there would kill you for a cigarette let alone a bicycle)...used to work downtown getting off at 3am and riding the "El" home...walked all around the city back in the early 80s & still, every now and then I venture over into the city from my home in Glassboro, NJ...very enjoyable write that brought back great memories, thanks...ed

Philly (Poetry) - 6/6/2014 10:13:38 AM
A great tribute to a great city. My few visits left me with sparse memories of the zoo on a very hot Easter day. Of Independence Hall and how small it was and the cracked Liberty Bell. And leaving the city after a fruitless job interview in rush hour with a cop on every corner directing three lanes of traffic north (my way out of town) and only one south, courtesy of your infamous "law and order" mayor (I forget his name). And the wasted housing space along the beautiful Schuylkill River taken up by cemeteries. Ron

Nice poem about Philly. I love the place! One question though. Why did the move the Rocky statue? Yes, it means a lot to me even if it's not considered a piece of art. Thank you.

Treasures (Poetry) - 5/17/2014 1:23:40 PM
