It`s just a short story of when I found out that I was pregnant.
It wasn`t the first thing that was on my list of `THINGS TO ACCOMPLISH IN LIFE`. In fact, It was the last thing that I ever imagined I would ever do. So, You could Imagine the look of desperation and Surprise on my face when I held up the pregnancy test to the light in my bathroom just to make sure that I was reading it correctly and that it actually read the words `POSITIVE`...
I remember that day like it was just yesterday. My brother Dason, One of my bestfriends, My brothers friend, and I were driving around Guam doing random things when we stopped by one of those Mom and Pops stores. I went in to get a bag of pickles and drinks for us when the home pregnancy test caught my eye. I was late on my period, so I asked the lady if I could get one and She handed it to me. Yeah, it was that easy! I hid it when I went back out to the car, just so that my brother didn`t see it.
When we got back to my house, we all went in and I went straight into the restroom... I was a little hesitant about it, so I didn`t do anything with it. I just hid it in the mirror. A few hours later when everyone left and My best friend was showering, I remembered about the test. So I went in and sat down on the toilet bowl. My friend `Kiara` pushed the shower curtain aside and asked me what I was doing and I told her that I`m gonna take the test. She just shrugged her shoulders and closed the shower curtain and continued on with showering.
I felt silly peeing on the stick, but I was thinking more along the lines of `Oh, Let`s just get this over with`. I waited for about five minutes. It was the longest five minutes of my Life. Finally, I picked it up and looked at it. `POSITIVE`. What was I gonna do? I know I am not ready for this baby. And what will my mom think? what will my dad and my brothers think? What will Brandon say? I avoided him three weeks ago and now, I`m PREGNANT? I thought I had it all figured out. I won`t tell anyone...and then when I start showing, I will go stay at a friends house, give birth when the time comes, and give it up for adoption without anyone knowing! I never knew that the instant I saw my precious child and held her in my arms, I would FALL in love instantly and HATE MYSELF for EVER thinking to give up my GIFT from GOD.
I certainly hope that the fine young man who helped you get pregnant is standing by to pay for the life of the child until it reaches an age of independence.
