In 1978 or 1979 Carol Speed's publicist Warren Lanier (Singer/Composer Barry White's publicist, too.) arranged for he to be on the dais with some California Politicians and Senator Henry "Scoop" Jackson (State of Washington) for his fundraiser at the Hyatt Hotel downtown Los Angeles.  But as the years went by, Carol Speed realized that she would never be a part of another fundraiser for a politician or a cause, again.  The illusion of Democracy and Civil Rights turned into garbage dumps, slums, and Martin Luther King Homocides all over the nation.
