THE WEEPING TREE (ch.2) Please Read . I am ready to post ch.3
King Moseck ,sadly moved on , toward Nunn. His mind was fixed on his brother and his ugly ways. Once back at the palace , he planned for a gathering , to get his mind off of his unpleasent trip. A Party fit for the King !he was mesmerized by a woman's beauty
A young woman stood by the other maidens , sipping on wine, laughing and soaking in all of the king's pleasantries. Her hair deep auburn and hung gracefully to her knees. Her smile was a welcoming sight for the king.
The king motioned for Sir Antony , his right arm man , to bring the woman to him. He bowed and went to do his kings bidding.
"My lady, your beauty overwhelmes the King , and he wants your lovely presense to dine with him,"
The woman all chuckled . The woman gracefully stepped out from the crowd and took the man's hand.
"Your King is most gracious, Sire, I would love to dine with him," she said as they walked down the velvet red carpet and stood before the King.
"You are more beautiful before me, "he said as he bid her to sit.
"Your too kind, Your Majesty, I am but a maid ,with nothing to offer but what you see before you ,"
"Ahh...but what I see , my lady , is two pools of emerald green that no other can compare, and red hair like a river that sweeps me away. You are most breath taking , my dear,"
" Thank you , " she replied as she raised her cup, and a servant filled it with wine.
The party was a ball to remember and King Moseck was pleased with the outcome.
"Your name, my lady ...what is your name?"
"My mother called me Rebecca, named after my grandmother,"
"Tis a beautiful name, Rebecca, I shall not forget it ,"
He was so struck by her sweetness that he spent the next few weeks with her by his side.
The King was so happy with her that he asked her to marry, and so she did . Now Queen Rebecca was the envy of all women in Nunn, and the King's right arm, Sir Antony found it very difficult to be around her as he also thought she was beautiful .
Three months passed and Rebecca, became with child, and the King was very happy.
Sir Antony did not want to hurt his Majesty ,so he kept his feelings for her inside. He Loved his King, as well as the King's wife.
One evening when all was quiet and the day was done ,Rebecca was sitting at the table brushing her hair.
She was preparing herself for bed, when the king came to her side.
"What is it , my Husband, you look so sad ,"
"I have grave news to tell you , my Queen. I have to leave for a while , to go to a place where my brother lives. I have told Antony , that if I do not return , he is to take my place as king , until the child is of age, then if it is a male he will be king , at that time. I place your life in Sir Antony's hands, my love. He is a good man.He will care for you as I do ,"
"My Husband, why must you go now ? Why is your brother more important than I ? Can't it wait until after the child has come ? "
"There is no one more important than you and my child , this is why I must go ,"
"I may be here when the child comes, my love, I don't have to leave at this time. But at the end of the months , when our child is due, I must leave
Rebecca laid her head in the kings lap and sobbed. Her life was now coming to an end , she thought as she lay weeping.
"My dear , it will be ok , I will come back to you .Now let us lay here in each other's arms and relish in the time we have."
The day soon came and Rebecca was due anytime now.
King Moseck remembered what his brother had said. If he wasn't there , he would come and destroy his kingdom. The time came to leave .
"Please , your Majesty, stay one more night ,"
"I can't ,my Queen , It would be the destruction of our kingdom, if I don't go ,"
"I will Pray for your safety,my husband,"
The King kissed her and left , with a handful of his armies by his side. The time had come.
"To the winner gets the spoils!" The king recalled his brother saying . His time had come to put an end to the evil before it destroyed everyone.
