Many years past as Antony and Rebbecca ruled the kingdom of Rhon with justice and compassion. The king and queen were blessed with two more sons and a daughter. They were all very beautiful and smart, just like their parents. Selleck, Moseck's son, was the oldest and heir to the throne. Antony II was Rebbecca and Antony's first son. Sibon was their second son and was kind and sweet to everyone. Their daughter, Sarah, was the envy of all women for she had the voice of an angel.
The time came when Selleck was to take the throne. At the crowning cermony Selleck vowed to serve and protect them as his father and step father had done. He was a Godly man and the people of the kingdom knew he was going to rule well.
Antony II had always been jealous of Selleck for he knew Selleck's position and that he himself would never rule Rhon. His parents knew of his feelings but knew not how to mend the relationship of their sons. Antony and Rebbecca had hoped that in their children's time the weeping of the tree would end. It had repeated its miracle every year on the day of Moseck's death. Considering how Antony II felt they thought it best to give to him the kingdom of Nunn, which was his uncle Sagus' land. Sagus had died without an heir and it had been ruled by his high advisor until a suitable king was crowned. However, it was a small kingdom and unacceptable to Antony II.
On the day of Selleck's crowning Antony II could hold his tongue no longer. He jumped up from his seat with his family and approached Selleck.
"I protest to this outrage! My father has been king all these years. As his son I should be the one to rule Rhon!"
"Be quiet, my son," said Antony. "Selleck is Moseck's son and rightful heir to Rhon. I only held the throne out of love and respect for his father. It is time for Selleck to take his place as king. You shame me by your outburst!"
"I see that I must leave so that you don't have to be ashamed. I will go to my kingdom of Nunn and take my throne there. As for you, Selleck, I will have my revenge!"
Antony II stormed out as his father watched him leave and his mother wept. Selleck ran after him and caught him as he was ordering his horse saddled.
"Please, my brother! I beg you to reconsider. It grieves our parents so with this discontent. We are brothers," Selleck pleaded.
"You are not my brother! I will always curse the blood of my mother that runs in your veins. I will have the kingdom of Rhon by force if necessary. In five years time if you have not surrendered it then I will take it from you!"
"I will be praying for you, brother. If it is God's will he will change your heart," replied Selleck.
"I denounce your God! He has no power over me!" Antony II said as he leapt on his horse and thundered over the bridge.
All the castle was saddened by Antony II departure. No one knew the depth of his bitterness until that day.
