My Singer, Louise McConnell’s family: A Composer’s Journal Entry: January 20, 2007

This photo was taken Christmas Eve, 2006, on the living room couch. Left to right: Carolyn McConnell, myself, & then Carolyn’s children Elisabeth & Ian. Carolyn is the daughter of Louise McConnell, who was my singer for many years & the singer on the Early Songs CD. The Unsung Songs cycle I have been revising as a Piano Quintet was originally written as a piano solo in memory of Louise, a few years after her death. I speak more about Louise in Realms of Light - about our musical partnership, but also my experiences with her from other realms since her death from cancer.
