This encounter with my Grandfather happened about one year ago just before Christmas. It was one of the most profound experiences I ever had.
You Have Not Lived Until You Really Cried.
One of my GREATEST expeiences is seeing and touching my grandpa Onofrio Favorito like he was still here. It was overwhelming just the feeling being close to him just like before he left to go to heaven. My grandpa just provided comfort by assuring me that I was in a good place. He let me know that as long as I keep on following Jesus I would be just fine. Grandpa told me that he wants me to join him when I leave the earth. For THAT I cried many tears of joy! It is very hard to describe exactly how I felt but I can tell you that it was one truly awesome experience!
How blessed that you were, to have a grandfather, I love that we truly have not lived until we really cry, and it is true, the many tears we shed, are collected and saved, and some are in joy, and others in sadness, but tears that fall from our hearts to touch our souls, with love, and knowing your grandfather knew his jouney was to a better place, helps us feel peace.
I know that feeling as my Mother told me she would be waiting to welcome me at the gate with open arms. That was fourteen years ago and I still shed tears knowing she always kept her word. Thank you for sharing John.
