I got more than I bargained for at the discount store.
I went into the Dollar Tree the other day to buy some batteries the other day and got the surprise of my life! There was a lady in front of me who had apparently done some "grocery shopping" in the discount store. I had to do a double take because I wasn't sure I saw what I thought I saw.
On the counter there was a frozen pizza and some chicken legs. Yes, you read this right. She had purchased some chicken legs from a store known for selling just about everything but the kitchen sink.

Many thoughts ran through my head:
1 Where did these chickens come from?
2) Were they "real" chickens or some foreign bird?
3) Who would sell chickens to the Dollar Tree?
4) Does this mean "My Harris Teeter" will be going out of business? God forbid!
After I paid for my batteries I went to my car to share this startiling news with my daughter. She didn't believe me. She had to see it for herself. When she came back to the car she was just as shocked as I was.

I gues that means no one ever has to go hungry anymore.
Wow! And I thougth we were blessed when our Dollar Mania started selling gal. of milk, and bologna! It never ceases to amaze me what one will find at these dollar mania'a/dollar trees...I love em....loved this write...
