Author-songwriter Laraine Elizabeth Turner shares a photo of her taken during her performances in community theatre in Santa Rosa, CA years ago. This particular photo shows her in a musical production of "Curly McDimple" at the Marquee Theatre in Santa Rosa. She received rave reviews, including one critic's comparison to her of Carol Burnett. She was also thrilled when such celebrities as Olympic skater Scott Hamilton and comic strip icon Charles Schultz were seated in the audience during a performance.
The photo of Turner shows her as the evil "Margaret Hamilton" (a.k.a. the witch in the "Wizard of Oz.")--the social worker who in vain tried to abduct Curly McDimple back to the orphanage.
