I completed two tours in Korea. One with Medical Command the other with Military Intelligence; two tours at Fort Jackson another at Fort Monmouth,New Jersey. I served training tours in Alabama, Fort Hamilton, New York, Patrick Air Force Base in Cocoa Beach, Florida and Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indianna.
I received a National Service Defense, Army Achievement, two Army Commendation, three Good Conduct, and Meritorious Services Medals.This all was costly. If not physically straining, emotionally or mentally draining. I am currently labeled a 100% Disabled American Veteran with clinical depression, bi-polar disorder, phybromyalgia, polymyasitis and a few other things I can't spell.
I suffered seventeen years before I felt like sharing my life with the world again. I prayed all the way through the pain. I knew the God that was with me throughout my triumps would stay with me through my defeats. Satan has never had any power over me. I refused to let him think he could take me out as I crawled around on the floor in my house in excruciating pain. I cried at times but I pushed pass the pain. One night I laid down and said to God, "I've tried everything, I don't know what else to do, I'm yours, you do whatever is your will". I went to sleep. The most peaceful sleep in years.
When I woke up the next morning, I had actually forgotten that I could not walk without assistance while I was standing in the bathroom looking in the mirror. I was standing on my own, I had stood up without grunting, trembling or shaking.I bore so much pain for so many years I forgot what it felt like to feel good. I was taking my medication but I was not depending on God to heal.
Medicine is a remedy the doctors use to practice but only God can heal what He created.
