Chosen, and rejoiced.
Some run to be first,
others honor God’s choice.
Some slash with the sword,
the cup to embrace.
Others bounded in chains,
love the sweet savored taste.
Called to admit that; “I am He”,
chosen to say; ‘let my people go free’.
Some say they love Him, but fail to hear,
that others are dying, with nothing to fear.
In experience we have patience through tribulations with hope,
to follow the cross, unashamed up the slope.
For our weakness in these, is when we do glory,
given strength of Christ’s power,
we shall never be sorry.
Called to transform, then refusing the Light,
some cling to this world and go to church in the night.
Chosen and filled we can make it by choice,
we’re found and then carried and angels rejoice.
Called not to stammer, chosen to stand,
in touching the King, with right or left hand.
We will all leave this world, if not Just; for awhile,
swallowed or spit, with a frown or a smile.
In love we’re admonished, on the Rock we repent,
the gift to be humbled, is heavenly sent.
