This would have to be my first. I write poetry more then anything so here it goes.
It was that long ago that Charity had passed through childhood and went straight to the the life of womanhood. She never really longed for the times gone by before, yet, now she never yearned for it more.
The day was Tuesday and the night was young. The breeze that blew, gently tousled her hair as she slowly walked through the park that mid July day. Charity had come to realize that the reflection on her life had been nothing more then a passing glance at what she wanted in her future. Life had been kind to her though she never noticed. Always caught up in the moment she never stop to think about what all the bad times had taught her. She knew she had grown up quickly never really knowing childhood but she always had thought that most children do. As she sat and watched the children play she realized another longing that of a child that had come and gone not from life but from her arms to that of another. He was such a wonderful baby. His eyes of a piercing steel blue, hair that was fair and blonde, ten little fingers, ten little toe, chubby little cherub cheeks..."oh where had things gone wrong," she thought."that i would ever give him up." It was a thought she found herself dealing with more often then not. He had gone to a good home though and wasn't that all that mattered? Thoughts, what were they, and why did they plauge her so? The breeze that had blown had slowly died down, as did charity's thinking. She had decided that it was time to make that slow agonizing walk home. Childless and alone she walked away realizing she had done the best for him as for herself, she had yet to know
