A saga in real time and ongoing....

Monday June 17 2008...At The Side Of The I-10 in Baton Rouge LA...8.21 a.m.

I've been stuck since friday,

Because I had no fuel

I was told I had some,

I didn't I was fooled!

I tried the card it didn't work,

I called and then they said,

'There ain't no money on the card,

We'll call you!' I said, 'When?'

Nobody did call me,

No answer did I get

When I tried to call them,

No answer came and yet

I called and called and called and called,

No messages could be left!

They are not set up for them

And they left me bereft!

I called on early staurday morn',

I asked about the fuel

The answer that I got from them

Could be construe d as cruel!

'You've got fuel on your card!' said he,

No names, no pack-drill facts

'There's fuel on card so use it!'

And then he said, 'THAT'S THAT!"

Ok That's that, 'course I was late

For picking up the load

If I'd fueled when

When they first told me,

I'd be miles on up the road!

So I was stuck the whole weekend

A Happy Father's Day?

Well not a word from both my kids

And furthermore no pay!

So monday morning I set off

Oil Pressure light it blinked

Protect The Engine light as well

And I've cold tea to drink!

I called and called and called and called

I got one he'll call back

So here I sit a-scribbling

This alien scribbling hack

It's 11.25 in the a.m. and no sign of road service yet, it's 95 degrees in the truck, I would have liked a sauna, but the truck don't got a plunge pool! Bummer!
