When It All Comes Crashing Down

Rick Randolph still trying to bask in the afterglow from the Christmas Holiday season and attempting to look forward to New Years, received a call from his friend Martin Karre who was Alicia Reynolds legal representative. Martin Karre had not called for a friendly chat, for he had news for Rick that he did not want to hear, but was just another blow to his psyche. Martin Karre informed Rick that Alicia was requesting an annulment of their marriage and was wanting it processed as soon as possible. Rick Randolph was told that he would be receiving legal papers that would be for the purpose of signing off on the agreement of the annulment for it to be finalized, and that Alicia was wanting it completed quickly and get it over and done with as soon as possible. 

After Rick got off the phone with Martin Karre, the thoughts in his head were jumbled. His thoughts were that everything was falling apart in his life, that anything that meant to him was disintegrating and there seemed nothing to stop the progression. Rick was trying to figure out what had triggered off Alicia that had set her off the way that it did for her to be carrying on the way that she had,

Again, Rick Randolph began to wonder about what had triggered Alicia Reynolds erratic behavior, why someone who supposedly had a great relationship, marriage and singing career would go off the deep end and associate with the wrong crowd, or was she always that way but was hiding it, and that it was time to cut herself loose, especially from Rick. He thought, maybe one day the real story will eventually make itself known.

Later on Rick began to think, why was Alicia in Las Vegas anyhow, if she was not on a concert tour or if she was not performing in Las Vegas, just what was she doing there. The more Rick thought about it, the more that it created more questions.
