Two cards, a decision...

Excerpt :

"So I told her that's not the way we do things around here. Ain't that right?"

Mabel grabbed another card and tried not to grimace at her friend Agnes' tone.

"You shouldn't have said anything."

Agnes' snort of content made her double chins wobble like gelatin. "Why not? Such carrying-on will ruin the neighborhood."

Mabel eyed the two cards Agnes slapped on the discard pile. "What ever are you talking about?"..."
