Three thousand prisoners get loaded in a hostage train. Peter escapes.
This is a true story.
While working close to BMW Airplane factory, an air raid chasses them away, under a line of pine trees. Peter remains behind, surprised to see one of the guard that chose to stay.
Air raid over, they have lunch break, but no food to eat. From one of the nerby houses a woman brings them boiled potatoes. Peter gives a piece of potato to the German shephard.
Two weeks later three thousand prisoners, including Peter, are teken to Karlsfeld Railways station to be loaded into a train as hostages to the SS High Command.
Peter escapes, while the prisoner wait in line to be loaded in boxcars.
He tries to get to the house where he saw the woman that brought them potatoes, going in.
Suddenly he knows that he had been followed. The dog licks his hand, the woman lets them in and they sleep in the attic until the end of the war.
